Okay, perhaps that's an uncharitably strident headline, but let's face it: "It's time to move on" has been the de facto Democratic Party slogan on Benghazi from the moment the attack took place. They understood the potential political ramifications of a deadly terrorist attack -- including the assassination of a sitting US ambassador -- on the anniversary of 9/11, so they set out to manipulate the public's understanding of the coordinated terrorist raid, casting it as a spontaneous protest gone tragically awry. It was nothing to the sort, which they knew for a fact almost immediately. Clinton mouthed one story in public, while addressing reality with unambiguous clarity in private. Days after the bloodbath, she lied to the victims' grieving families. They specifically recall her repeating the Internet Video fiction, even as contemporaneous evidence proves she knew she was peddling a falsehood:
The U.S. military never attempted to deploy any assets or troops to Benghazi during the 13-hour attack on the American consulate in 2012, according to a supplemental report released by the House Select Committee on Benghazi on Tuesday morning.
Although Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta has said he ordered three support teams to deploy to Benghazi about two hours into the attack, the committee said it found no evidence that these forces were mobilized until hours after the attack ended. Military assets, such as fighter planes and armed drones never left the ground, according to the report.
If you need any evidence that the Democratic Party version of the Select Benghazi committee report is nothing more than a load of smelly political cow chips, think about this for a moment. The report mentions Donald Trump 23 times. Donald Trump was hosting The Apprentice around the time of the 9/11/12 terrorist attack on our mission in Benghazi Libya, there is no reason for Donald Trump to be mentioned in the report unless you want to deflect from the truth. And that’s exactly what the Democrats have been doing since this House Select Benghazi Committee was empaneled.
By now it has become disgustingly standard fare for supporters and sycophants of presumptive Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton to swiftly dismiss any and all mention of the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack as little more than a “right-wing conspiracy” to smear the former secretary of state.

When asked about the release of the much anticipated Benghazi report, Trey Gowdy stated, “It’ll be in the next month. It will be before the conventions,” according to TheHill.com.
Initially, Gowdy wanted this wrapped up some time ago, and has come under fire from the left and frustration from the right.
President Barack Obama’s Pentagon recently sent a letter to the House Select Committee on Benghazi, essentially telling it to slow down its investigation into the deadly 2012 terrorist attack while chastising it for not having all of its requests for information squared away, according to The Washington Examiner.
“The department has spent millions of dollars on Benghazi-specific congressional compliance, including reviews by four other committees, which have diligently reviewed the military’s response in particular,” read the letter from Stephen Hedger, assistant secretary of defense for legislative affairs, to South Caroline GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy, head of the Benghazi committee.
One email in the latest batch released under a Freedom of Information Act request shows clearly that the plot to cover up the real cause of the Benghazi attack that left four Americans dead began in the White House and was undertaken just to make President Obama look good in an election cycle.
Other emails and memos have shown that the State Department under Hillary Clinton, as well as other agencies, knew while the attack was happening that it was being led by terrorist mercenary groups that had been planning the assault for some time.
Despite that, the White House and State Department maintained for weeks that the attack was spontaneous and inspired by an obscure Internet video. Obama Administration officials insisted they were presenting the best information they had available at the time, which we now know is not true, and even told the United Nations the story about the video, along with the conclusion that there should be no counterattack.
Former President Bill Clinton boasted on Monday that his wife Hillary Clinton ate Republicans’ lunch on “that Benghazi thing.”
“They had seven committees look into that Benghazi thing,” Clinton said at a Connecticut rally. “The first six were honest committees, chaired by Republicans, they came up with the same thing. They said, ‘Look, yeah, there needs to be some changes made, but she’s not responsible.’ No secretary of state has ever been responsible for security stuff. But she did immediately take responsibility for implementing the recommendations. End of story.”
Townhall -The CIA’s new policy will bestow “enhanced death benefits” for contractors and employees who have worked for the agency starting in the 1980s. As for Doherty’s family, they are expected to receive around $400,000. Doherty’s sister, Kate Quigley, said she was “thrilled” to receive the phone call and is excited that the new program will help dozens of other families.
The House Select Committee on Benghazi was especially adamant about helping the Doherty family in their effort to receive government aid and thankful to learn the CIA had changed its policy.
“I am glad the agency made this decision so the Doherty family and others who have lost loved ones in service to and sacrifice for our country will finally receive the recognition and honor they deserve,” said Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) in a statement.
Hillary Clinton is giving her Democrat supporters another opportunity to ignore her disgustingly lawless behavior. The hard working folks at Judicial Watch have finally pried a few more closely guarded documents from the cold, dead grasp of the federal government. (The Obama State Department did their best to keep Clinton’s lies a secret, but a Judicial Watch lawsuit finally forced their hand.) The latest forms uncovered prove unequivocally that Hillary Clinton has been repeatedly lying to the American people about what happened in the aftermath of the Muslim terrorist attack in Benghazi.
"This Benghazi investigation is taking too long" has always been an odd complaint from the Left, particularly because Democrats on the panel have done next to nothing to advance any fact-gathering whatsoever. They frame this gripe as an act of tax-dollar stewardship -- for which Democrats are famous, right? -- while ignoring their own conduct, which Republicans credibly describe as negligent, partisan obstructionism. The price tag of Elijah Cummings and friends' Hillary protection racket so far? North of $2 million. But what about the specific claim that this special Congressional investigation is "the longest" in American history? Here's MSNBC repeating that Clinton campaign talking point over the weekend:

(Free Beacon) The State Department turned over 1,600 pages of previously undisclosed documents related to Hillary Clinton and Libya to the House Benghazi committee on Friday, a month after it revealed the existence of the documents in an unrelated court case.
The House Select Committee on Benghazi announced it received the records on Friday, adding that the State Department has yet to fully comply with document requests the committee made nearly a year ago.
