And so it is with the mainstream media that has devoted itself to turning candidate and now President-elect Donald Trump into the personification of evil itself in its effort to sway voters away from his message of new hope for America’s future to that of the continued decline of the Obama years under Hillary Clinton.

AUBURN — The Androscoggin County Commission made two changes to the 2017 budget but ended up tabling the measure when a dispute arose over whether to raise their own legal fees or cut $15,000 from another department to balance the budget.        

Two weeks ago, the Budget Committee adopted its final proposed budget, approving an increase in the county assessment limit to 6.44 percent — the same amount as the increase to the county tax rate.

His campaign manager Kellyanne Conway appeared on ABC News today to educate the ladies of the view, who attempted to barrage her with questions.
As the polls continue to tighten heading into Election Day, Conway took a swipe at Hillary Clinton by saying “so many people shouldn’t have been getting their inaugural ball gowns and popping their champagne corks prematurely.” She specifically highlighted the ABC News tracking poll that stands out from the pack with Trump taking the lead nationally. “It’s our favorite poll,” Conway said.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will return to Maine for the fifth time this election cycle with a campaign rally in Lisbon on Friday.
The event will be held at the Open Door Christian Academy at 4 p.m., with doors opening at 1 p.m.
Trump seems intent on getting at least one of Maine’s four electoral votes. Maine is one of two states in the country that splits its electoral votes, with two going to the statewide winner and one to the winner of each congressional district. While the most recent polls show Trump doing poorly in Maine’s 1st District to the south, he has had a stronger showing in the northern 2nd District.
