BENGHAZI PANEL: HILLARY CLINTON WIPED EMAIL SERVER ‘CLEAN’

WASHINGTON (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton wiped her email server “clean,” permanently deleting all emails from it, the Republican chairman of a House committee investigating the 2012 Benghazi attacks said Friday.

Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., said the former secretary of state has failed to produce a single new document in recent weeks and has refused to relinquish her server to a third party for an independent review, as Gowdy has requested.

Clinton’s attorney, David Kendall, said Gowdy was looking in the wrong place. Instead of asking Clinton for the emails, Gowdy should look to the State Department, which is “uniquely positioned to make available any documents responsive to your requests,” Kendall said.

An elementary school named after a veteran forced a 7-year-old boy to shave his military-style haircut.

Adam Stinnett admires his older stepbrother, who is a soldier in the Army. He told his mother Amy Stinnett that he wanted to get a haircut just like his stepbrother’s, so she obliged and took him to get one on March 8.

The next day, Amy Stinnett got a letter from the principal of Bobby Ray Memorial Elementary School in McMinnville, Tenn., that upset her.

“I have the utmost respect for the military,” Monti Hillis, the school’s principal, wrote in a letter. “However, we are not a military school, and the boy’s haircut is against our rules.”

This morning on “Fox and Friends,” Amy Stinnett said (watch above) that she thought the email from Hillis was “bizarre and crazy.”

U.S. Army National Guard Soldier And Cousin Arrested Over ISIS Plot To Attack Military Base…

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. Army National Guard soldier and his cousin have been arrested on charges of conspiring to support Islamic State in a plot that included an attack on a military installation in Illinois, the Department of Justice said on Thursday.

The two Chicago-area men, both U.S. citizens, spoke of using army uniforms and military knowledge to get into an Illinois National Guard facility, the department said in a statement.

“Disturbingly, one of the defendants currently wears the same uniform of those they allegedly planned to attack,” Assistant Attorney General John Carlin said in the statement.

Hillary Hit with Racketeering Lawsuit

A conservative group has filed a racketeering lawsuit in the US District Court for Southern Florida against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, which accuses her of failing to produce documents under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

According to The Hill, the civil suit, filed Wednesday by Freedom Watch, states that Clinton used her private emails to sell access to other officials in return for donations to the Clinton Foundation.

It alleges that, during her tenure, Clinton withheld documents requested under FOIA regarding State Department waivers given to businesses or individuals doing business with Iran, possibly undermining U.S.-imposed sanctions.

Lisbon – “Students from Lisbon had another opportunity to participate in  a unique out of the classroom learning experience on sound financial planning and investment strategies, thanks to the partnership in education with the Maine Credit Union League and The MELMAC Education Foundation,” shares Monica Millhime, the District’s Community Resource Coordinator.  Students from Lisbon’s middle school along with mainstream high school students and their peers at the Gartley Street Program (GSP),  attended a session on money management at the Financial Fitness Fair in Lewiston.  The intense two and half hour event sponsored by Maine’s Credit Unions  invited students to engage in real-life scenarios into the future at age 22.   Students were provided with current market values of expenses and income levels at the specific  jobs of interest according to their personal participant profile.  Members of the area Credit Unions provided portfolios equipped with calculators, fact sheets, charts and spreadsheets for students to prepare their own monthly/annual budgets based on their lifestyle choices.  Credit Union coaches  guided students through the budgeting process and planning of the major expenses associated with the basics in life  including housing, food, transportation, education, clothing, investments, insurance, entertainment, home furnishings, cell phones and credit applications.  “Students were actively engaged with the various aspects of the program all morning, working together as teams to make sure they could meet their monthly expenses,” shared Millhime.  Students attending the program were accompanied by Millhime along with Brian Breton, Gartley Street Instructor, Amy Sewick, LHS Guidance Counselor and Jessica Porter, Jobs for Maine’s Graduates Specialist at PWS and LHS.  FMI on events and programs in the Lisbon Schools email mmillhime@lisbonschoolsme.org or call 754.0021.  Find us on Facebook at Community Resource News in Lisbon Schools.

LONGEVITY STIPEND

The longevity stipend was established as an incentive for employees to remain working for the Town of Lisbon.  This program is in most businesses to retain continuous service by their employees.  It is very costly for companies to continually replace employees so this program is a cost savings.

In this years proposed budget, there are approximately 18 town employees receiving longevity stipend for continuous service in increments of five years.  However, there are a few employees abusing the program.  I will provide some examples:

Scenario 1:  Two individuals retired and were rehired the next day.  The first one retired on February 28, 2003 and the second one retired March 31, 2005.  Both employees were paid longevity stipend for the continued service up to the date of retirement.  Both terminated their service to the town in order to retire and were closed out as of their retirement date of all benefits and money owed.  Yet, they are trying to collect their longevity stipend based on this period of prior service in which they have already been paid for upon retirement.  Since that chapter of their lives has been closed out; they should not be allowed to use that period of service in the computations of continuous service.  The start date for the first employee should be March 1, 2003 and the second employee should be April 1, 2005. 

Scenario 2:  There is an employee whose salary is divided by four departments because he is the head of three departments and works in a third.  However, the longevity stipend is recorded as Town Engineer as $1560.00; Public Works Director $1560.00; Solid Waste $1560.00 and Treatment Plant $2600.00 for a total of $7,280.00.  The longevity stipend is to be paid to an employee and not to position or salary.  This individual’s salary has been prorated between the four departments but yet the longevity stipend is not prorated and the employee will receive approximately $5,720.00 more that he should.  This employee should have his longevity stipend prorated between all four departments.  This will save the taxpayers $5,720.00 tax dollars.

In this financial crisis, every penny that the town can save will help the taxpayers.  I do not know if all employees’ longevity stipend is computed accurately.  These two scenarios are the only ones I was able to find that in my eyes are incorrect.

UPDATE TO POLICE BUDGET

On Tuesday night the Town Council held a Budget Workshop to discuss the Library, Police and Fire proposed budgets.  According to the Town Manager, Diane Barnes, the Police department budget increased by $130,760.00.  This was due to the fact that instead of 25% of the Officer wages are paid by the town and 75% are paid by the schools; she made it 100% of their wages.  This will change the total operating cost of the Police Department.

 The following is what the taxpayers are forced to pay for a police force.

            1,463,637.00 – Police

                  82,490.00 – Animal Control

                339,784.00 – Dispatch/Communication Center

            1,885,911.00  TOTAL

However, this is not the actual cost because the following expenditures are elsewhere in the budget:

                     9,559.00 – Police Liability is under 01-115 Insurance

                   17,604.00 – PD Full Service Support is under 01-135 Technology, Service

                                         & Support Agreement

                   14,285.00 – Tritech PD is under 01-135 Technology, Service & Support

                                          Agreement

                      6,078.00 – 13 PDPatrol is under 09-900 Debt Service for leased vehicle

                      5,952.00 – K9 Unit is under 09-900 Debt Service for leased vehicle

                      9,380.00 – 14 PDPatrol is under 09-900 Debt Service for leased vehicle

                   10,403.00 – 15 PDPatrol is under 09-900 Debt Service for leased vehicle          

                   18,018.00  -  County Tax for PSAP (Just found it)

                   91,279.00  - TOTAL

The total operating cost of the Police Department to the taxpayers is the sum of these two figures:

1,885,911.00

      91,279.00

1,977,190.00 TOTAL OPERATING COST OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT

How close is this to two million?

2,000,000.00

      22,810.00

This means that the Police Department is 24.69298% of the total Municipal Budget.  Can we really afford to pay 25% of our tax dollars for a police force in this bedroom community?

At ALL previous budget workshops, tables were set up in council chambers,

with chairs around, for members of the town council, Town Manager,

department heads, and members of the Finance Committee.

 

A sort of round-table discussion. All were on the same 'playing level'.

 

At the Tuesday March 24 budget workshop, members of the  town council

and Town Manager were sitting at their appointed seats on the raised dais,

while Larry Fillmore, the only member of the Finance Committee

who cared enough to attend the meeting, was seated alone at a table on the floor,

so to speak. There was not even a chair in place for him to sit on.

 

I felt that this was an insult to Larry, who as I said, was the ONLY member

of the Finance Committee who cared enough to attend.

Evidently Norma Wells and Charles Smith, the two remaining members

had more pressing things to attend to.

 

Even though the Town Council has received two very well qualified applicants for

the four vacant seats they have failed to fill even one seat.

 

Could it be that they are waiting for the "right people" to apply??????

RECAP TOWN COUNCIL WORKSHOP – MARCH 24TH

The workshop was to discuss the Library, Police and Fire Departments proposed budgets for Fiscal Year 2015-2016.  The first up was the Library and there were little to no changes for the upcoming budget.

However, the Town Manager, Mrs. Barnes has tried for the most part to put all the expenditure in the correct Departments.  Mrs. Barnes informed the Council that the two RSO Officers that are in the two schools wages have been added to the Police Department budget.  In previous years, the School Department paid 75% and the Police Department paid 25%.  Now the total wages were included the Police Department; this increased the Police Department budget an additional $130,760.00.

The Council had a lengthy discuss about the Police Department budget that included the Communication Center.  Chairman Pesce asked Chief Brooks to check with Androscoggin County Dispatch and Lewiston/Auburn Dispatch to see what it would cost for one of this Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) to take over our Communication Center.  The Council questioned Chief Brooks about the impact of not replacing the Sergeant’s position was having on the department.

 Finally, the Fire Department gave his presentation on the 2015-2016 proposed budget.  The discussion was short because there was no significant change from last year.

 The Municipal budget has a 2% pay increase listed as Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) for all town employees.

Barack Hussein Obama’s Phone Call To Benjamin Netanyahu Was Anything But Congratulatory

BNI want to give you a little back information that’s not widely available publicly. When Barack Obama called Benjamin Netanyahu, it was not to congratulate him. They spoke for 30 minutes.
Barack Obama insisted that Benjamin Netanyahu remove his ambassador to the United States, Ron Dermer. Netanyahu said he would not. Obama pressed the case. Netanyahu said he will not.

Obama attacked Netanyahu, he said, for the last days of the campaign when he called out the Arabs. And he attacked Netanyahu for his statements about the two state solution.

Unfortunately, Netanyahu’s position is that he still supports a two-state solution. However he said as long as that other state is committed to Israel’s demise, as long as they won’t disarm, as long as they will not recognize Israel as a Jewish state, how can there be a two state solution? As I say, the two-state solution would be a final solution.

Obama Just Released 166,000 Criminal Illegals

Judicial Watch obtained documents proving that, to date, the Obama administration has released 165,950 illegal aliens with criminal convictions back into the population. The watchdog organization released 76 pages of Homeland Security documents on Friday, retrieved through FOIA request, showing that many of the criminals were found guilty of violent crimes, including homicide, sexual assault, kidnapping, and aggravated assault.

According to a report published by the Center for Immigration Services in May 2014, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) freed 36,007 convicted criminal aliens who had nearly 88,000 convictions, including 193 homicide convictions, 426 sexual assault convictions, and 303 kidnapping convictions in the year 2013 alone.

Immediately following the release of the CIS report, former Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Congressman Lamar Smith, R-Texas, issued a statement terming the action “the worst prison break in American history.” He added that “President Obama’s lax immigration policies have put the lives of Americans at risk.

Lisbon Seuss Bulletin Board Winners‏

LISBON DR. SEUSS BULLETIN BOARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

Lisbon – One of the highlights of the annual Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration held at Lisbon Community School (LCS) on Friday, March 6, were the bulletin boards created by students and their teachers.  “Grades pre-kindergarten through grade four participated,” shares Monica Millhime, Lisbon’s Community Resource Coordinator.  “Teachers and students decided on themes, the layouts and the designs of their Dr. Seuss themed boards and were very excited to have completed their contest entry by the night of the event.”  

Over 400 attendees were invited to tour the LCS campus prior to the featured guest readers to vote for their favorite display.  “The energy was kinetic throughout the school leading up to the evening events.   Students also had an opportunity to tour the displays and were quick to compliment the various participating classrooms.  Entries featured some of the all-time favorite Seuss books and provided lessons in creativity, teamwork, strategic planning and the ability to meet deadlines.”

The people’s choice for the best classrooms’ presentations were first place Ms. Jessica Swindlehurst, grade 1 teacher, featuring The Lorax;  a tie for second place with Miss Beth Gilbert, grade 1 teacher featuring Oh, the Places You’ll Go; and Mrs. Phyllis St. Pierre, grade two class created The Shape of Me.  Third place was Mrs. Deb Furrow’s kindergarten class featuring One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.

Khamenei calls ‘Death to America’ as Kerry hails progress on nuke deal

Iran’s Supreme leader Ali Khamenei called for “Death to America” on Saturday, a day after President Barack Obama appealed to Iran to seize a “historic opportunity” for a nuclear deal and a better future, and as US Secretary of State John Kerry claimed substantial progress toward an accord.

Khamenei told a crowd in Tehran that Iran would not capitulate to Western demands. When the crowd started shouting, “Death to America,” the ayatollah responded: “Of course yes, death to America, because America is the original source of this pressure.
