A Town Should Be Run Like A Business

To The Editor;

Cheers and Kudos to the Editor and the powers-that-be that made the Lisbon Reporter happen. What a wonderful forum to get information out to those that care about our town. A town should be run like a business, because that is precisely what it is. A business by the people, of the people, and for the people. And that is not how the Town of Lisbon has not been run for too many years.

The best thing that happened in Lisbon for many years is Jennifer Stowell Norris. When she was hired as Development Director in 2007, little did she know the hornet's nest she had stumbled into. But, thanks to her, her perserverence, her tenacity, and honesty, we have a group of caring citizens working to right many wrongs.

We need support from the community, and the best way to get support is through an informed public; by word of mouth and through The Lisbon Reporter. Newspapers are too often hesitant to print the entire story, even though the story is true.
