Brooks Initiates Investigation of his Police Department and Puts Blame on Lisbon Concerned Citizens In An Effort to Oust them Prior to Budget Season

In today's Times Record, the newspaper reports in an article titled AG's probe clears Lisbon police chief, "Lisbon Police Chief David Brooks at Tuesday's Town Council meeting asked Town Councilor Roger Cote to resign after a Maine Attorney General's report attested that neither Brooks nor members of his department were skimming drug profits as Cote and others alleged."

"The demand comes after Brooks called the Attorney General's Office to investigate claims that he and other Lisbon police officers were notifying high school students of drug searches, coordinating their activity on police radios and taking a share of drug dealers' profits, Brooks said."
