Lisbon
- The induction ceremony for the Worumbo Chapter of the National Honor
Society was held on the evening of Wednesday, November 3 at Lisbon High
School. Sixteen students from the classes of 2011 and 2012 were
recognized by family, friends, and faculty for their outstanding
accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and
character. Former Lisbon science teacher, Olivia Griset, returned as the
evening’s keynote speaker and encouraged students to “seek out
knowledge beyond the classroom and to use what they have learned to make
the world a better place.” As NHS members, students will continue to
demonstrate their commitment to helping others as they perform both
individual and group service projects throughout the year. A number of
inductees are members of the Lisbon Young Adult Volunteer Program and
the Community Service Club. FMI on projects and other programs,

Resource Coordinator Monica Millhime, 754-0021 or email mmillhime@lisbonschoolsme.org.
