Last night's Town council meeting was business as usual, Deception and More Deception

DECEPTION AND MORE DECEPTION

At last nights’ Town Council meeting it was business as usual by the Town Manager. During the Town Manager’s report, Mr. Eldridge sprung more trickery by inviting the attorney for Maine Electronic's and the town attorney to address the Wellhead Protection Ordinance.  Mr. Eldridge also ensured that the Chairman of the town Planning Board was also in attendance. Mr. Eldridge made sure all his key players were in place BUT WAIT why was the head of the Water Department NOT invited to this trap. Could it be because Mr. Paul Adams would have had a different opinion to this controversial issue? I believe the Water Department has more expertise in this area than two lawyers and the head of the Planning Board.

This is exactly the type of deception utilized by the Town Manager on a daily basis. Mr. Eldridge only presents facts to support his position on each and every issue. Instead of presenting all the facts in order for the Town Council to weight everything before making a decision;  He ensures the Town Council ONLY has facts which support the decision he wants them to arrive at.

The Town of Lisbon should be a transparent form of government with everything on the up and up. Instead, the management only presents facts to support their side of an issue and hides all others.

Is this the type of government the residents of Lisbon want and support? I prefer a more transparent form of government.
