At the last Town Council Meeting Lisbon Councilors
gave Councilor Pomelow valuable time to personally attack Mr. Fillmore,
The Lisbon Reporter, LisbonMaine.Net and other Lisbon residents.
Councilor Pomelow’s stumbling speech was in direct violation of the
Councils own working rules, the very rules of ethics she stated a
Councilor must adhere to when sitting on the Council. Could this be a
case of “Do as I say not as I do”.
Her main target seemed to be Mr. Fillmore a local resident that is trying to bring fiscal sanity back to the Town Of Lisbon.
She started her attack by stating that the town had spent a third of its legal budget defending against frivolous legal actions brought by Mr. Fillmore. There is a problem with that accusation. The Androscoggin Court system ruled in favor of Mr. Fillmore and against the Town. This clearly and legally puts the blame of this expense directly on Lisbon’s management not Mr. Fillmore.
There is one point she made that I do agree with and that is the public should be outraged with this unnecessary expense caused by Lisbon Management.
Ms. Pomelow went on to accuse Mr. Fillmore of sexism and misogyny. This is a laughable accusation considering Mr. Fillmore’s has spent his life raising three daughters. The ease at which this accusation came rolling off Ms. Pome low’s lips leads me to wonder if this is a tactic she has successfully used in the past to defend herself. Throwing the sex card when she is the one with all the power just makes her look pathetic.
There is one difference between the Councilor and Mr. Fillmore and that difference is credibility.
When Mr. Fillmore makes a statement it is backed up with proof. He supplies documents and pictures to support his position. He shows readers where to find the information for themselves and at times even gives actual documents and pictures to bolster his statements. In contrast Councilor Pomelow just denies everything until she can deny no more.
Of all the nastiness and misstatements spewed by the Councilor the one that I find most troubling is her thinly veiled threat of violence. After implying a number of times that Mr. Fillmore was stupid she went on to say “You can't fix stupid but you can numb it with a 2x4“.
In the future, Mrs. Pomelow, you may want to refrain from using terms like stupid and ignorant, and condemning people for their attire, it is just plain low class. The old saying “people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones” comes to mind.
In closing I would like to remind the good people of Lisbon that those of us that bring you this information have only one agenda and that is to Lower Taxes and clean out any corruption in Lisbon Government.

Mrs. Pomelow did nothing but hurt the people of Lisbon with the bain dead working rules ,she was nothing but a Brooks money funnel just as Bowie,Fern and Ward are.

I've worked with this person for several years and sadly, this has always been the way she deals with people who challenge or disagree with her.
