Lisbon Credit Union Offers Lisbon Students Financial Planning Advice

Lisbon
– George Roy, Lorraine Turcotte and Selma Basic, of Lisbon Community
Federal Credit Union (LCFCU) recently met with Lisbon High School
Gartley Street Program instructors Andy DePres and Brian Breton along
with the schools’ Community Resource contact, Monica Millhime. The
stakeholders discussed a financial planning program complementing the
curriculum offered at the school. LCFCU is one of the Lisbon School
Department’s Community Partners in Education.
Over
the next several weeks, LCFCU employees will provide instructions
relating to the features and benefits of various deposit account options
offered at financial institutions. “Students will be introduced to the
services provided by debit cards, credit cards, home banking and more,”
shares George Roy, LCFCU Treasurer/Manager. “Information on the
various types of car, personal and mortgage loans will be explained
along with the process of how loan decisions are made including the four
C’s of credit, collateral, credit history, capacity (ability to repay)
and character.”
