It’s not as if the speech and every word within it hadn’t been written by the Obama staff and gone through an exhaustive editorial review process. These were not spontaneous, off-the-cuff, ill-advised comments but preplanned to send a deliberate message. The fact that they were offensive does not somehow magically make them inadvertent. That, however is the lie the White House is trying to sell us.
The go-to guy for the most difficult “record corrections” or history changes seems to be Eric Schultz, the deputy to Josh Earnest, who was the individual who had the difficult task of informing us that the Taliban are no longer a terrorist organization as defined by the word-parsing White House.
On Friday, aboard Air Force One, Schultz dished out the latest serving of tripe to reporters onboard, saying that he thought the anti-Christian remarks were “suited” for the event.
