Lewiston – Members of the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club have invited District Governor, Steve ‘Al’ Feather, as their noontime luncheon guest speaker on Thursday, July 16 at the Ramada Inn, Lewiston. “District 7790 is a large and diverse district. We come together from two countries with two languages making us a truly international district,” shares Feather. “We are located in the Eastern part of the Province of Quebec and Central Maine, we are 53 clubs strong with approximately 1800 Rotarians and growing. In our District we combine the best of small rural and large metropolitan clubs each with their unique geographical areas and cultures.”
“Our clubs and district have a long and proud history of supporting the needs of their local communities through service projects. They engage with our young people through Rotary Youth Service Programs including Rotaract, Interact, Early Act, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and the Youth Exchange Programs to support, encourage and develop our future leaders. Our Rotary members also support many international projects including our current District Water and Sanitation Project in Nicaragua along with our continued support of Rotary International’s effort in eradicating polio.”
