Newt Gingrich speaks to the gathering of conservatives at the Iowa Freedom Summit, characterizing the current global threat in crystal clear terms. He says, “There is one common pattern occurring everywhere across the planet and that is radical Islamists, who hate our civilization, are prepared to cut off our heads and are determined to impose their religion by force.”

Gingrich says he’s not going to spend a lot of time talking about Hussein Obama’s “pathological incapacity to deal with reality.” He says, “There’s no point in trying to get him to learn how to say the words ‘radical Islamists’ because he has a speech impediment which blocks him from being able to say the words.”

He points out that even the institution of the U.S. Army has become so corrupted by the dishonesty we now live with that they described the Ft. Hood attack as a workplace violence incident.

Alabama Just Handed Muslims THIS News And They’re Not Going To Like It Very Much

 

Did you know many states are taking legislative action to protect their citizens against foreign codes of law like Shariah being used within state courts?

At the forefront of this Stand for Freedom, Alabama passed this popular amendment to their State Constitution in the recent election, reports The Political Insider.

The new amendment will not allow the use of foreign codes of law like Shariah to be used in Alabama courts. A landslide majority of 72% voted in favor of the protective law.

Despite the protection it provides, Muslims and radical liberals are outraged and afraid their religious and personal liberties are going to be violated.

Could they be more wrong?

At 5, began studying under his cousin's tutor.

At 9, studied Latin, Greek, and French.

At 19, studied Law for 5 years starting under George Wythe.

At 23, started his own law practice.

At 25, was elected to the Virginia House of Burgesses.

At 31, wrote the widely circulated "Summary View of the Rights of British America?"  And retired from his law practice.

At 32, was a Delegate to the Second Continental Congress.

At 33, took three years to revise Virginia's legal code and wrote a Public Education bill and a statute for Religious Freedom.

At 36, was elected the second Governor of Virginia succeeding Patrick Henry.

At 40, served in Congress for two years.

At 41, was the American minister to France and negotiated commercial treaties with European nations along with Ben Franklin and John Adams.

At 46, served as the first Secretary of State under George
Washington.

At 53, served as Vice President and was elected president of the American Philosophical Society.

Thomas Jefferson knew because he himself studied the previous failed attempts at government.  He understood actual history, the nature of God, his laws, and the nature of man. STICKING IT TO THE LISBON TAXPAYERS AGAIN!!!

In late 2013, the Police Department received approximately $71,000.00 plus in forfeiture funds to be utilized strict by the Lisbon Police Department.  These funds, by law, are to be used to enhance the Police Department.

During the 2014-2015 budget season, Chief Brooks presented a Capital Improvement Plan with numerous vehicles, additional radios, and a Digital Imaging Unit.  As we all know, the Town Council approved the purchase of two vehicles using taxpayers’ dollars instead of these forfeiture funds.  Chief Brooks argued that the radios and Digital Imaging Unit were both critical to the operations of the Police Department but the Town Council did not approve tax dollars for their purchase.  The Town Council approved an increase of approximately $74,000.00 tax dollar for the Police Department.

 Here, we are again starting the 2015-2016 budget season.  On the 2016 Capital Improvement Plan, Chief Brooks has listed several vehicles, radios and again the Digital Imaging Unit to be purchased using our tax dollars.

 It would appear that Chief Brooks either does not have his priorities straight or he is hoping to stick it to the taxpayers again this year.  Since Chief Brooks received the $71,000.00 plus in forfeiture funds, he has received an additional $983.00 from the state in forfeiture funds.  Now in all fairness, Chief Brooks has purchased 3 assault rifles, balls and ball launcher plus a bed for the K-9, and a GPS.   These items were all put ahead of the radios and the Digital Imaging Unit. 

 According to the 2016 Capital Improvement Plan, the estimated cost on the radios is $34,600.00 and the estimate cost of the Digital Imaging Unit is $6,000.00.  I have a copy of Purchase Order for everything Chief Brooks spent using the forfeiture fund through November 19, 2014 and according to my figures there remains approximately $38,401.78.  Chief Brooks has more than enough to purchase the Digital Imaging Unit, so why is it still on the Capital Improvement Plan?  Had Chief Brooks not purchased “Toys for the Boys”, he could have purchased the radios also but apparently the radios were not as important as the “Toys for the Boys”.  Chief Brooks is fully aware the Town Council will approve anything he wants using our tax dollars.

 Chief Brooks has been manipulating Town Council for years and probably will continue to do so until he retires.  I mean for real.  Chief Brooks has already retired once from the town and was rehired the next day at the same salary.

 The Town Council needs to put an immediate stop to Department Heads sticking it to the taxpayers.

It has come to my attention that there is a committee formed of non lisbon property tax paying paying citizens of Lisbon to look into selling the transfer station 2 pine tree waste this way yet turn into another tax on Lisbon residents. It is understood that pine tree will charge per bag on top of all the taxes that we already pay . I understand lewiston has adopted this method and is now charging for recyclables. I hope the townspeople will have a vote on this in this doesn't a backroom deal . Lisbon residents please take notice.

Criminal DHS Director Jeh Johnson Says The Days Of Enforcing Immigration Law In The United States Are Over

    

 

Who would have believed that we’d ever come to this? The person in charge of every aspect of the federal enforcement of our immigration laws just proclaimed to a gathering of mayors that he is not going to do his job, he is not going to enforce immigration law, and that nobody in the future will return to enforcement once his treasonous criminal tenure at DHS has ended.

That’s exactly what just happened when DHS Director Jeh Johnson addressed a meeting of mayors from around the nation in Washington DC on Thursday.  It wasn’t long ago that this type of criminality by a government official would not have been tolerated, let alone promoted. Johnson and Obama both would have at a minimum been impeached by now. Things have changed. It is becoming accepted that America is ruled by criminals who are above the law. As long as they make a semi-convincing argument, no real challenge is brought forth.

Johnson was touting his program of not enforcing the law, a “deferred action” in which action continues to be deferred in perpetuity.  Johnson said, “Deferred action is not a lawful status, it’s not like lawful permanent residence. It is temporary in nature, for a two-year period. And it basically says, for a two-year period, this individual is lawfully present in the United States.”

Pro-Amnesty Illegals Warn GOP Presidential Hopefuls – Stay Away From Rep Steve King, He Must Be Having An Impact

 

 

What are curiously termed as “immigrant rights” groups, those who seek to bestow undeserved status and represent people who don’t belong here, are warning potential GOP presidential candidates to maintain a “safe distance” from Iowa Congressman Steve King (R-IA) or risk losing Latino votes.

Congressman King is the House version of Senator Jeff Session (R-AL), a strong opponent of illegal amnesty and illegal immigration. The threats are not coming from American citizens of Latin descent, but from illegal aliens who have no legal right to be in the U.S. beyond the abdication of their duty and violation of their sworn oaths by Hussein Obama and DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson.

One of those making demands and simultaneously providing an example of what can happen when these entitled militants are allowed to flout the law is illegal alien agitator Erika Andiola. She threatened prospective candidates in her tortured use of the English language, saying, “If the GOP wants to win [in] 2016, then they are going to have to make sure that they stay as much as possible away from Steve King as they can.”

Sheriff David Clarke – Obama Needs To Stay Out Of Local Law Enforcement, Stop Stirring The Pot

 

 

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke has some words of advice for Hussein Obama, telling him effectively to mind his own business and quit stirring the racism pot.

Neil Cavuto leads into the discussion by playing a segment from the YouTube interview of Glozell, the green-lipped hoodratette with Hussein Obama. The woman is not a fan of the police, having in another portion of the interview described personally removing the hoods from her child’s sweatshirts out of fear of “Attack by the Killer Popo,” hood vernacular for the police. Her comments depicting police as predatory child killers would make Bill de Blasio proud.

Obama says that the overwhelming majority of police officers are doing a tough job well and professionally, and then comes the “but” and the purpose of his remarks. He picks back up on the pre-New York Cops shooting mantra of evil white cop racism, saying, “What we also know is that there’s still biases in our society that in split second situations where people [are] having to make quick decisions, that studies have shown, African-American males are seen as more threatening.” He says,” A lot of the way to solve this is to improve training so people can be aware of their biases ahead of time.”

Army Lieutenant Gets 19 Years for Defending his Troops against Islamic Jihadists

First Lieutenant Clint Lorance never imagined that following the rule of engagement to save not only his life, but the lives of his fellow soldiers against Islamic enemies would result in him spending nearly two decades in prison. But it did.

Lorance, 30, had been trained to make split-second decisions and his training culminated in a real-life scenario in July 2012 when he and his squad were on a foot patrol in southern Afghanistan. He had just been made Platoon Leader after his predecessor had been severely wounded.

At that time, Lorance led his troops into a Taliban-infested territory, where their air support had indicated that there were enemy personnel were in the vicinity.

Jennifer Bucholtz reports what happened next.

While crossing a barricaded road designated only for military and police use, his platoon encountered a dreaded--and possibly deadly--threat: Three men on a motorcycle speeding directly towards them. Not only were the men driving on a prohibited road, but they ignored the platoon's verbal shouts and hand signals commanding them to stop. They also fit the description of the enemy personnel as described by the overhead surveillance team. Fearing an impending ambush and/or vehicle-borne improvised explosive device, either of which could have resulted in the loss of additional men (his unit had already lost four soldiers), Lorance commanded his gunners to open fire on the motorcycle. The first shots missed the riders. The three Afghan men on the motorcycle roared through the platoon formation, then came to a halt nearby. All three dismounted and began walking aggressively towards Lorance's troops, still ignoring commands to stop.

Conservatives Target McConnell For Quick Surrender On Amnesty, Lack Of Guts To Fight Obama

Guiding your troops in retreat or surrender is still technically leadership, but it’s not the kind that conservatives were expecting or seeking when the Republicans were given the majority control of the Senate in November. Unfortunately, to this point at least, that is exactly the type of sellout leadership we are experiencing. Conservative leaders have had enough, making their sentiments known Wednesday at a Heritage Foundation gathering called “Conversations with Conservatives.” The target of their criticism was the good ‘ole boy from Kentucky, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. (R-KY)

There was plenty of criticism to go around, with Rep Raul Labrador (R-ID) suggesting that McConnell is no better than his Democrat predecessor Harry Reid.

Labrador said, “It’s uncanny to me that our leadership is already sending the message that we’ve already lost this battle,” referring to the premature amnesty surrender announcement of McConnell from the Republican Retreat last week. McConnell stated in a closed-door bicameral session that the Senate didn’t have the votes to overturn amnesty and he didn’t have a way of producing them.

Ali Saleh Kahlah al Marri was arrested as an enemy combatant while a student at the University of Illinois during the Bush administration. Bush wanted him locked up in Gitmo but al Marri was instead sent to a federal prison where he has been detained from that point up until last week, when he was released back to his native Qatar.

In a 2007 speech former President Bush detailed the terrorist training of al Marri, which included his specialty in poisons. Al Marri attended al-Qaeda training camps in the time before the September 11^th attacks,  and was deployed in the United States as a sleeper operative of that terrorist, one who had offered to martyr himself for their cause.

Lt Col Allen West characterizes as “absolutely unconscionable” the fact that we still “Have an environment where the enemy is continuing to fight us but we are releasing the enemy back to join the ranks.” He says, “So when you look at several U.S. statutes it seems that the Obama administration continues to provide aid and comfort and material support to the enemy as well as aiding and abetting their efforts.”

Sheriff Sam Page of Rockingham County, NC, is not onboard with the rampant political correctness which has taken over and replaced common sense and judgment in the United States. He says that a person who is violating the law and if that is an immigration law, then simply that is an illegal immigrant.

Neil Cavuto comments on the latest tactic by illegal to equate that appropriate and valid terminology to a racial slur, calling it “the equivalent of using the ‘n’ word against African Americans.”  Sheriff Page sees that as part of the political correctness promotion, asking if the next step down that illogical path is to call shoplifting a “non-receipted purchase?” He adds, “We need to call it what it really is.”

Asked if this type of identification is a gateway to de facto legality, Page returns to the culprit of political correctness as being a chief cause of today’s problems. He says, “If we call things what they really are and we understand what the issues are, we can better address those issues.”

The leading advocate and voice of the American people in the fight against the forces of greed and national destruction that are conducting an illegal squatter invasion is Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL). He has now been named as the Chairman of the Senate Immigration subcommittee, a truly fortuitous development for the American citizens and the defense of the Constitution and our nation.


In announcing his chairmanship, Senator Sessions also changed the name to the “Immigration and the National Interest” subcommittee, noting that in doing so he is making a declaration that the subcommittee belongs to them. He remarked that for too long the financial and political elite have controlled the immigration debate and he will see to it that the interests of the American people are now the primary concern. He also announced that fellow anti-amnesty ally, Senator David Vitter (R-LA) will be serving as the Republican Deputy Chairman.

Valerie Jarrett employs the tactic of claiming to base an entire policy upon the exceptions to the rule in arguing against recognizing Islamic terrorism as the real threat America faces. She mentions the rarity, a Sikh Temple and the Holocaust Museum terrorist acts as examples of why the regime is pretending that Islamic terror is not the threat that it is. No one asks if the regime’s position has anything to do with her Iranian birth or the Muslim upbringing of Hussein Obama, his Madrasa education or their extensive Muslim Brotherhood affiliations.

Brian Kilmeade does ask Jarrett about the open door policy at Gitmo. He states it is his belief that the American people don’t want former terrorists “running wild.” He says, “They are not under lock and key in Uruguay, they are not under lock or key in Oman, they are able to do whatever they want in Afghanistan and these prisoners swapped for Bowe Bergdahl are also free.” He asks, “What did they do to deserve freedom?”

That’s a question Jarrett won’t answer directly as there is no answer. They did nothing to deserve freedom and they shouldn’t be free. She’ll talk around the issue, as is the political custom.

Trey Gowdy SHREDS Emperor Obama After State of the Union Address

Tea Party Congressman Trey Gowdy has a way of making his opinion heard. The bold prosecutor-turned-congressman has railed against President Obama’s continual disregard for the Constitution and our entire system of government and has not minced words in his declaration that Obama’s march towards despotism must be stopped.

After Tuesday’s State of the Union Address, where President Obama hailed his supposed achievements and postured as if he were under no obligation to follow the law or to work with the Republican-controlled Congress, Gowdy had, evidently, had enough and issued a scathing condemnation of the president’s remarks.

“Last year, the President promised he would use his pen and phone to ignore the legislative branch and push through his agenda by executive fiat. We have witnessed one executive power grab after another, setting a dangerous precedent and eroding the constitutional balance set forward by our Founders.

Laura Ingraham remarks that some people have taken note of the lack of anything more than a passing reference by Hussein Obama to the topic of amnesty or illegal immigration in the State of the Union Address. She’s got an answer for why that is the case.

She says it is “Because he knows or at least he thinks he’s already won the argument. Barack Obama doesn’t have to lobby the Republicans on immigration. In fact, it’s better for Boehner if he doesn’t make some sort of big show on executive amnesty, if he doesn’t really shove it in everybody’s faces.”

She continues, “It’s better for him if he lets Republicans do their show votes on repeal and so forth but that in the end Republicans aren’t going to stop him, as Buchanan predicted and I agree with him. So why shove it in the Republicans’ face?”

New House Bill Removes 66 Miles Of Border Fence As Sellout Of American Citizens Marches On

The last thing Republicans seem to want to do in the new Congress is represent the wishes of the people who gave them control in November. Instead of giving us the opposition to amnesty and the border enforcement that they promised, they are offering us less enforcement, amnesty and trickery.

What is being labeled by its RINO proponent, Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mike McCaul (R-TX), as a border bill, might lead one to believe it provides for increased enforcement. That’s where the trickery part comes into play. It actually calls for the removal of 66 miles of bothersome border fencing that gets in the way of those foreigners wishing to travel back and forth into our nation illegally at will.

RECAP TOWN COUNCIL MEETING/WORKSHOP – JANUARY 20^TH

 
On Tuesday night, January 20^th, the Town Council held its regular meeting with a workshop following the meeting.  This is a summary of what took place.

 The following agenda items were approved by a vote of 7-0:

 1.      Gas/Diesel pumps card swipe system – The Council approved for the Public Works Director to go out for bids on card swipe systems or a system that ties the vehicle to the pump with radio frequency.

 

2.     Public Works garage addition – The Council approved for the Public Works Director to proceed forward and request bids to add a 25’X80’ steel structure to the current Public Works garage provided the School Board was notified and asked to join in on a possibility of a larger building.

3.     Moxie Festival – The Council approved to have the Department Heads for Police, Fire and Public Works to budget for the Moxie Festival instead of charging the Moxie Festival Committee for their services.

4.     Directive on Municipal Budget – The Council provided the Town Manager with a directive to reduce the budget by $300,000.00 and no increase on the mil rate.

5.     Directive on School Budget – The Council directed the School Department to reduce their current budget by $600,000.00.

6.     Budget Schedule – The Council approved to have this item tabled so the Town Manager could make some additional changes.

7.     Amend Div. 3 Health & Safety Section 82.78 Food Regulations (First Reading).

 Maine State Retirement System (MSRS) Hiring Process Policy – The Town Manager provided two options for the Council to consider.  The majority of the Council voted to accept Option 2.  Council Chris Brunelle did not vote because the outcome directly affected him because he is under MSRS and works for the Town.

 Under Other Business – The Council was provided an update on the Performance Contract schedule of events for this project by the Public Works Director.  Mrs. Tracey Steuber provided an update on the Town’s application for CDBG Funds.  The Council reviewed the Water Department Study and accepted the recommendation from Eaton Peabody with the stipulation of waiting until a cost analysis could be performed and a gradual transition could be made so not to disrupt normal work flow.  The Town Manager announced the plans of Mrs. Keller at the Library to retire shortly. She also announced the cost of the TIF would be $3,000.00 by the law firm of Brann Isaacson.

 Under Audience Participation – Mr. Mark LaRoche provided a briefing on the upcoming meeting at the MTM Center, February 10^th, at 06:30 PM to discuss the Lisbon Farmer’s Union.

 Under Appointments – The Council accepted Mrs. Lori Pomelow resignation from the Finance Committee.

 The meeting was adjourned and the Council went into a workshop with a lengthy discussion of the town owned property not in use.  There are several pieces that need to go onto the market and some too small to market.

Look, can I begin by saying I understand why the Muslim faithful get mad when other people mock their religious beliefs? Because I do. I am a devout evangelical Protestant Christian who gets upset whenever I see my faith mocked as well. Over the years, I’ve learned a neat little trick to deal with the many and varied insults to my faith, my God and the most important thing about who I am. Can I share my “trick” with the Muslim world?

Here’s what I do when faced with content offensive to my faith.

If it’s on TV – I change the channel.
If it’s on the radio – I change the station.
If it’s in a magazine – I flip the page.
If it’s on a website – I close the browser.
If it’s on a billboard – I look away.
If it’s on a flyer – I throw the flyer away.
If it’s in a conversation – I walk away.
If it’s on a t-shirt – I don’t look at it.
If it’s on a bumper sticker – I don’t look at it.

Actually… my basic secret is don’t look, listen or interact with things that offend me. And then I don’t feel sooooo bad (he sang, thinking of Julie Andrews…).

Did Someone Get To Gowdy? Has He Been Compromised Or Threatened On Benghazi Hearings? – Some Experts Fear He Has

There were many among conservatives who were elated with the announcement of a Special Select Committee to investigate the Benghazi attacks and even more so when we got the news that its chairman would be Rep Trey Gowdy (R-SC).

Many of those same people are beginning to have a much different outlook on things now, and while they aren’t yet willing to totally abandon hope that Gowdy is sincere in his efforts to get to the bottom of things, they have some very real concerns.

An independent non-governmental group, the Citizens’ Commission on Benghazi, has been conducting their own investigations into the events at Benghazi for a year and a half as well as conducting efforts to persuade Congress to act to ascertain the truth as to just what happened. They are among those who now are voicing concerns at the level of the effort being expended and the direction of the Benghazi hearings.

ISIS Cell Discovered Inside Israel By Security Service, Planning, Preparing For Attack

It was only a matter of time until the scourge of ISIS spread into the nearby nation of Israel. The question was more one of timely discovery and intervention than of whether or not a presence would be established.

The discovery and arrest of the first known ISIS cell inside Israel was announced on Sunday by Israel’s Shin Bet security service.

An event in the Texas city of Garland, part of the Dallas-Ft Worth Metroplex, is the site of a Muslim Brotherhood event called “Stand With the Prophet.”
Pamela Geller points out that the protesters are not standing with the prophet and are in fact taking the opposition position against the fast-creep of Sharia Law in the United States and in support of free speech.


Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch points out that the Islamists are holding a conference which is dedicated to “eradicating Islamophobia” which he says really means eradicating any honest discussion of how Islamic Jihadists use the text and teachings of Islam to justify violence and hatred.

Kirk Lippold, the former Commander of the warship USS Cole, provides his perspective on the Obama regime’s program of releasing prisoners as the method through which he will close the Gitmo detention facility over the objections of Congress.

He describes how Gitmo was originally designed to be an intelligence center for excellence in the war on terror. He said it was a place where we could learn from detainees the specifics of our enemy’s operations in order to better target them.

He says the problem we now face is the lack of a facility to which we can bring them, that we simply can’t afford to surge ships out of Norfolk to go sit off the coast of Libya to collect one prisoner at a time back to the U.S. for trial.

Wait and see THIS Obama will announce in State of the Union

President Obama plans to call for billions in tax increases on top earners – including a hike in investment tax rates — in order to fund new tax credits and other measures the White House claims will help the middle class.

The president’s proposals, which also include eliminating a tax break on inheritances, are likely to be cheered by the Democratic Party’s liberal base when they are announced Tuesday night in his State of the Union address. However, the tax increases are all but certain to be non-starters with the new Republican majority on Capitol Hill.

The president’s address — his first to a Republican-led Congress — will call for $320 billion in tax increases over 10 years. Aside from funding new tax credits including a tax credit for working families and expanding the child care tax credit, the White House says that money would go to funding measures to make college more affordable and accessible, including the president’s recently announced plan to make community college free for many students.
