At long last the Department of State is investigating why a top Hillary Clinton aide with generational ties to Islamic terrorism was allowed to work in a sensitive government position while simultaneously working for a Clinton-connected private sector consulting firm.

Hillary Clinton and the senior aide, Huma Abedin, apparently conspired to keep the sweetheart working arrangement that the Muslim Brotherhood-linked employee had at Foggy Bottom a secret. Because it involves a Clinton, the story is, of necessity, complex and convoluted. And it’s classic Hillary as she tiptoes through a minefield of ethics violations, conflicts of interest, and potential national security-related breaches.

RedFlagNews Drug Enforcement Administration agents attended sex parties with prostitutes while stationed overseas as far back as 2001, according to a report released Tuesday.

Money to pay prostitutes at a farewell party for a high-ranking DEA official was included in an “operational budget” that used government funds for the party, the report said. DEA agents also rented undercover apartments in Colombia and used them for parties with prostitutes, the DEA said in an internal report.

The Honda rider was traveling at such a 'very high speed', his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. Swedish Police estimate a speed of ~250 KM/h (155 mph) before the bike hit the slow moving car side-on at an intersection. At that speed, they predicted that the rider's reaction time (once the vehicle came into view) wasn't sufficient enough for him to even apply the brakes. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 10 feet from where the collision took place.


All three involved (two in car and rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the   Stockholm Motorcycle Fair by the Swedish Police and Road Safety Department. The sign above the display also noted that the rider had only recently obtained his license.


At 250 KM (155 mph) the operator is travelling at 227 feet per second. With normal reaction time to SEE-DECIDE-REACT of 1.6 seconds the above operator would have travelled over 363 feet while making a decision on what actions to take. In this incident the Swedish police indicate that no actions were taken.

In other words, they didn't even have time to say, 'Oh, S###!'

At The Least, One Maine Community Has Come To Their Senses! BDN: Rockland returning foreclosed homes

ROCKLAND, Maine — City councilors took quick action Monday night in an effort to return four properties that had been seized for nonpayment of taxes or sewer fees.
The council gave unanimous preliminary approval to returning the properties. A final vote is scheduled for next month.

Last month, the city acquired three homes for nonpayment of property taxes and additional homes were taken for failure to pay sewer fees. The foreclosures are automatic under state law unless a municipal body votes to waive foreclosures.

The city initially foreclosed on the properties to protect the municipality’s ability to collect the taxes or fees that are owed on the properties. City Manager James Chaousis said that if the city had not foreclosed on the properties it would have lost its right to collect those taxes or fees. The manager said if the city began waiving taxes, other property owners might follow suit.

Lisbon - Lisbon area schools formed a total of five teams for the Bowl for Kids Sake (BFKS) event held on Saturday, April 11th held at SpareTime Recreation in Lewiston.  Proceeds from the event benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters(BBBS) Program.  

Thanks to the galvanized efforts of the Philip W. Sugg Middle School junior volunteers’ President, Charlee Cox,  two teams represented the middle school.   Three teams represented Lisbon High School with a combination of young adult volunteers,  LHS BIGS from the BBBS Program, and students enrolled in the Jobs for Maine Graduates Program.   “We were pleased with the number of teams representing Lisbon Schools, shares Monica Millhime, Community Resource Coordinator for the District.  “Students have a number of commitments  with organized sports, work, family obligations, academic demands throughout the school year.”   Lisbon has provided support to the BFKS  event for a number of years and continues to be on the events’ calendar for many students and staff.

Egyptian court sentences leader of outlawed Muslim Brotherhood terror group and 13 other senior members to death for inciting chaos and violence

Barack Hussein Obama must be outraged at this verdict against his Brotherhood pals, several of whom are serving in his own administration right now. Mohamed Badie, spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood and 13 other defendants were handed death sentences as 37 people, including an Egyptian-American citizen arrested for being a material supporter of the Brotherhood, were jailed for life by a Cairo court.

UK Daily Mail  The defendants found guilty of plotting unrest from their headquarters in a sprawling Cairo protest camp in the months after the military overthrew Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.

Judge Mohamed Nagy Shehata, known for his harsh rulings in cases involving the Muslim Brotherhood, also sentenced two Islamists who have fled the country to death.

Lisbon Hosts Artist Clint Fulkerson

LISBON COMMUNITY SCHOOL HOSTS ARTIST CLINT FULKERSON

  

Lisbon – Students and staff at Lisbon Community School, (LCS)  hosted visiting artist, Clint Fulkerson of Portland, Maine on Wednesday, April 8. Fulkerson recently exhibited at the Portland Museum of Art, Endicott College, University of Maine Farmington, and other galleries in Maine and New York. Fulkerson spent the entire day on the elementary school campus located at 33 Mill Street in Lisbon.  

The talented artist spent time talking with students in every grade level sharing his experiences as an artist, and what inspires him. Fulkerson worked with students to actively participate in creating drawings  using tape on the gymnasium floor. The full day event concluded with a spectacular collaborative piece of artwork.  The program was funded thanks to the generosity of the LCS Parent Teacher Organization.   

 Assistance throughout the day was provided by many members of the Lisbon Volunteer Program. Lisbon HS Caron Completes Army Basic Training‏

LISBON GRADUATE COMPLETES ARMY BASIC TRAINING

Lisbon – Private Paula Nicole Caron, a graduate of Lisbon High Schools’ Class of 2014, and a member of the Lisbon Schools’ volunteer program, has graduated from The United States Army Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.  Pvt. Caron is a United States Army Reservist who completed the Motor Transport Operator (88m) Training at Fort Leonard Wood.  

Private Caron is currently assigned to the 619^th Transportation Company located on Minot Avenue in Auburn, Maine.  Caron recently met with LHS undergraduates and shared her military aspirations and goals.  Caron recently completed a program assisting a second grade class at Lisbon Community School with a unit of studies relating to the Community provided by the Junior Achievement Program.

Clinton Foundation Took Millions in Foreign Cash Before Hillary Left State Dept.

The Clinton Foundation started taking in millions of dollars worth of contributions from foreign governments while Hillary Clinton was still at the State Department, according to a Washington Post report.

The foundation agreed in 2008 that it would not take foreign donations while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state, but an exemption written into the ethics agreement allowed for continued donations from some foreign donors.

The Clinton Foundation accepted millions of dollars from seven foreign governments during Hillary Rodham Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state, including one donation that violated its ethics agreement with the Obama administration, foundation officials disclosed Wednesday.

Audio Released of Cop Shooting and Killing College Student for Speaking Disrespectfully

Corporal Christopher Carter works for the University of the Incarnate Word campus police. In spite of shooting Robert Cameron Redus, a 23-year-old student at the university, the officer was not arrested, indicted, nor even fired. The San Antonio officer was placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation into the shooting of an unarmed and student.

Since the late-2013 shooting, Corporal Carter kept his job, until he very recently chose to leave the department on his own. A court has once again just cleared him, even while they released the audio of the incident, which proves Redus was essentially shot for being sarcastic.

Redus was shot and killed by officer Carter at 2 am after making a sarcastic remark toward the campus cop who followed him well outside of the boundaries of his campus jurisdiction, finally pulling him over, for allegedly “speeding.”

Local KSAT News says that witnesses claim the officer “emptied his gun” into Redus with no provocation.

“I didn’t hear him say anything like, ‘Get down on your hands and knees,’ you know?” one witness recalled, “I didn’t hear him say anything. He just started shooting. He emptied the gun on him… Boom, boom, boom.Six shots — five or six.”

 The court’s release of the 13-minute audio recording of the incident makes that refusal to indict even more inexplicable.

 

An open records request by KENS 5 forced the Alamo Heights Police Department to release the recording that Redus’ family fought for over the course of over a year.

Mohammad Haidarasl saw it all go down. He said that Redus’ final words were “Oh, you’re gonna shoot me?” Haidarasl added that the officer kept saying “Stop resisting, stop resisting,” even though Haidarasl saw no physical resistance at all. Redus lived below Haidarasl, who says that he was “the nicest guy.” Other classmates said that Redus was “kind, intelligent, compassionate and well-loved within the community.” “He was not an aggressive person at all, so the story doesn’t make sense,” said another anonymous student. Carter claims that “a struggle ensued” between Redus and himself. An official University statement claims that Carter has “an extensive law-enforcement background,” and has been employed for “several years” at the school. The San Antonio Express-News, however, clarifies that he has only been on the job for two-and-a-half years, and that he has been jumping from department to department before that. The Redus family responding to a coroner’s report, proving that Redus was shot at close range and in the back, recently released a statement, as follows: “We are stunned to learn that Cameron was shot in the back from very close range. The report also shows that the shot to his eye was delivered at a downward angle, again from very close range. WHY DID THE TOWN COUNCIL FIND IT NECESSARY TO ELIMINATE THE FINANCE COMMITTEE?

Last Tuesday night’s Town Council meeting, the Council voted to eliminate the Finance Committee.  They provided three reasons:  (1) the first was that the Town Manager and the Finance Director are more than qualified to handle the situation, (2) the lack of applicants, and (3) finally the finance committee could never get organized to make recommendations to the Council. 

This was all a setup to gain absolute control of all financial matters in town.  In a democracy, there are checks and balances to safeguard against corruption.  It has nothing to do with the integrity or character of those in charge but more eyes on the subject enables all aspects will be evaluated prior to a final decision.  This Council has eliminated all checks and balances and changed our form of government from a democracy to tyranny.  In this case, the Town Council has absolute control of both the School Department funds and the Municipal funds with no one checking what they are doing.

The idea that the Town Manager and the Finance Director will be able to decipher the School budget this year is ludicrous.  Mr. Rick Green and Mrs. Catherine Messmer have a history of doing an outstanding job on their budget.  The members of the School Board are very pleased with their performance and have complete faith in them to do all they can to present the best budget possible.

The Town Council has directed them to cut $600,000.00 tax dollars out of their budget or the Council will refuse their proposed budget and place before the people to vote on what the Council figures is a valid school budget.  The voters in Lisbon need to reject any and all budgets the Town Council puts before them. 

This Town Council is out of control and ONLY the people can regain control of their finances by voting all Councilors up for re-election out.  This town needs honest candidates who will always put the best interest of the town before their personal agenda.  Our current Council has forgotten it is all about the community and not themselves or following anyone else’s agenda.

The correct manner to form an efficient Finance Committee is to have the School Board appoint three members and the Town Council appoint three members with the Chair to be changed every year by a School Board member and a Councilor.  This will ensure members are familiar with both sides and can provide recommendations to the School Board and the Town Council.  As it was, the Town Council appointed all members and the majority of them were former Councilors.  These were the same individuals who created the financial situation the community is in today to include reducing our Undesignated Fund by more than two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) tax dollars.  None of these members wanted anyone to find out how they put us in this position.

At the time the Council voted to eliminate the Finance Committee there were two members on the committee.  The Councilors had two candidates to review and the Town Manager did not include the two additional applications she had received prior to the meeting.  This means the Town Council had four additional candidates to consider which if approved would have meant the Finance Committee would have six members and this was plenty to have a quorum.  With six members the Finance Committee would have been able to make the recommendations the Town Council was looking for and would keep the checks and balance in the system.

Absolute control over everything is what the Town Council was looking for and finally succeeded at getting.  
The only way to retake control of our community is find three incorruptible individuals to run in November to replace the Councilors who have sold their souls to the dark side.

VOTE THEM OUT IN NOVEMBER.  OUR FOREFATHERS FORMED THIS NATION BY DEFEATING TYRANNY.  IT IS TIME TO GET OFF THE COUCH AND RETAKE OUR COMMUNITY.

LISBON, Maine — A local transient formerly from Augusta was arrested Friday after he allegedly stole a pickup truck and numerous items from a Capitol Avenue business, then led a Lisbon police officer in a brief pursuit that ended with a more than 80-foot plunge down to the banks of the Androscoggin River.

Tony R. St. Pierre, 44, has been charged with burglary of a motor vehicle and operating under the influence, as well as felony crimes of burglary of a commercial building, theft, aggravated criminal mischief, unauthorized use of property, eluding a police officer and aggravated operating after habitual offender revocation, Detective William Tapley said Friday afternoon.

According to Tapley, the series of incidents that led to St. Pierre’s arrest began about 4 a.m., while Officer Ryan McGee was performing nightly routine business checks. Because of recent commercial burglaries in the area, Lisbon police had been conducting property checks throughout the night.

Hillary Support Atrophying In Swing States, Voters Say She’s ‘Not Honest’

Hillary Clinton will announce her candidacy sometime over the weekend, and it appears the email fiasco, among other things, has taken a toll on her numbers. Clinton’s strength is beginning to wane in the swing states of Virginia, Colorado, and Iowa, while Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) has seen a surge in support.

In a new Quinnipiac poll, Sen. Paul leads Clinton in Colorado (44/41) and Iowa (43/32), but slightly trails her in Virginia (47/43). Clinton isn’t faring any better with the rest of the Republican field in Colorado.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who’s expected to make his presidential run official on April 13, leads her by one point, 41/40. Clinton is tied with former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee at 41/41, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker leads 42/41 over the former first lady. The former secretary of state leads Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) by one point, 41/41. She’s virtually tied with the entire field. She only leads Bush 41/38 and Christie 41/39, albeit not by much. It’s within the margin of error.

A Judge Just Made A Monmumental Ruling About The Pledge of Allegiance

The American Humanist Association recently filed a lawsuit against a local school district for including the phrase “And Under God” during the pledge of allegiance on school property. The lawsuit contends that by having the phrase as part of the pledge of allegiance, they are breaking the law separating church and state.

The lawsuit went in front of a judge today, and he made a very important decision.

The judge completely dismissed the lawsuit.

A 36-year veteran of America’s Intelligence Community, William Binney resigned from his position as Director for Global Communications Intelligence (COMINT) at the National Security Agency (NSA) and blew the whistle, after discovering that his efforts to protect the privacy and security of Americans were being undermined by those above him in the chain of command.

The NSA data-monitoring program which Binney and his team had developed -- codenamed ThinThread -- was being aimed not at foreign targets as intended, but at Americans (codenamed as Stellar Wind); destroying privacy here and around the world. Binney voices his call to action for the billions of individuals whose rights are currently being violated.

Lisbon Students Benefit from Reader-to-Reader Program

Reader-to-Reader Program Supports Lisbon Students

Lisbon - Lisbon Community School is thankful for a very generous donation from the Reader-to-Reader program of Amherst, MA.  Reader-to-Reader donated over one hundred books to a very special first grade classroom! The books have gone a long way to promote a strong love of literature for our learners. 

Reader-to-Reader also partnered with Lisbon Community School PTO to provide each kindergartner and Pre-K student a brand new book in the fall to welcome them to school and encourage reading right from the start.

VIOLATING MAINE STATUE

At last Tuesday’s Town Council meeting, it started off with an Executive Session covering three items.  The item that I am concerned with is the very first one:  2015-76 Order – 1 MRSA Statue 405 (6) (A) Personnel Matters – Finance Committee Resignations & Appointments.  This is the first time the qualifications of volunteers were discussed in Executive Session.

The Town Council had to consider the resignations of Mr. Michael Bowie and Mr. Charles Smith.  Also, they needed to consider the qualifications of volunteers Mr. Dean Wiley’s application submitted January 26, 2015 and Mr. Roger Cote’s application submitted February 26, 2015.  I understand the Town Manager had received two additional candidates which apparently were not considered.

Maine Statute 405 (6) (A) is very clear.  There are certain matters which qualify for the Executive Session status instead on being discussed in Public.  Paragraph 6 and 6(A) reads:  Permitted deliberation.  Deliberations on ONLY the following matters may be conducted during an executive session:  Paragraph 6(A) reads: 

Discussion or consideration of the employment, appointment, assignment, duties, promotion, demotion, compensation, evaluation, disciplining, resignation or dismissal of an individual or group of public officials, appointees or employees of the body or agency or the investigation or hearing of charges or complaints against a person or persons subject to the following conditions:  (1) An executive session may be held ONLY if public discussion could be reasonably expected to cause damage to the individual’s reputation or the individual’s right to privacy would be violated; (2) Any person charged or investigated must be permitted to be present at an executive session if that person so desires; (3) Any person charged or investigated may request in writing that the investigation or hearing of charges or complaints against that person be conducted in open session.  A request, if made to the agency, must be honored; and (4) Any person bringing charges, complaints or allegations of misconduct against the individual under discussion must be permitted to be present.

This paragraph does not apply to discussion of a budget or budget proposal;

Since there would be no reason to discuss any resignations, the Executive Session had to have pertained to either Mr. Wiley or Mr. Cote or both.  The only discussion should have been about their qualifications pertaining to the Finance Committee.  Neither of these two individuals have been charged or investigated and were not offered to attend the Executive Session subparagraphs 2,3,4, are eliminated.  This only leaves subparagraph 1 must have applied.  Both of these individuals have been very vocal about their political views which would not damage their reputation or their right to privacy; this had to have been a violation of Maine Statute 405 (6) (A).  The problem with Executive Sessions is there is no way to verify what was discussed because everything said in Executive Session is sworn to secrecy by the Councilors.  The Town Manager and the Town Attorney should have stopped this action immediately.  By the process of elimination, there can be no other explanation; this action reflects the integrity and character of the members of our Town Council.

There has to be some kind of check and balance to ensure these violations of Executive Session are eliminated.  It is critical this town have transparency.
