Baltimore Received $1.8 Billion from Obama’s Stimulus Law

By -

The city of Baltimore received over $1.8 billion from President Barack Obama’s stimulus law, including $467.1 million to invest in education and $26.5 million for crime prevention.

President Obama claimed last Tuesday that if the Republican-controlled Congress would implement his policies to make “massive investments in urban communities,” they could “make a difference right now” in the city, currently in upheaval following the death of Freddie Gray.

However, a Washington Free Beacon analysis found that the Obama administration and Democratically-controlled Congress did make a “massive” investment into Baltimore, appropriating $1,831,768,487 though the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), commonly known as the stimulus.

WHEN DOES THE MADNESS STOP?

Tuesday night, at the Lisbon Community School, there will be a Public Hearing.  This Public Hearing is to allow the people the right to express their opinion on the proposed 2015-2016 School and Municipal Budgets.

After all the adjustments in moving cost lines from department to department, there is a difference of $108,419.00.  Last year, the total was $7,963,002.00 and this year it is $8,071,421.00.    However, not all cost lines were move to the appropriate departments such as Hydrant Rental is still under Public Works when Public Works has nothing to do with Hydrant Rental.  It would be more appropriate to put this under Public Safety, Fire Department because they use these Hydrants.  Street Lights is another cost line that is in Public Works that has nothing to do with Public Works.  This should be under General Government Miscellaneous because it pertains to the entire town and not a department.

There is a decrease in Revenue Sharing of $150,000.00 which was offset by a $237,021.00 increase in Other Revenue.  Our taxes are going up to cover additional expenses in the operations of the town; like giving themselves a 2% COLA increase and granting themselves Professional Development cost.

The excessive spending of taxpayers’ dollars has got to stop immediately.  Last year, several of our neighbors could no longer afford to live in our community and had their homes foreclosured on and sold by the town.  On tonight’s agenda there are four more properties they are asking the Council to allow them to sell.  With this new budget, how many more of our friends and neighbors going to have to give up their dream homes in order to cover ridiculous spending.  Closing the Communication/Dispatch Center, Chairman Pease claims will save the taxpayers approximately $191,000.00.

The real crime in our community is the lack of discipline in controlling spending.

[Watch] Louisiana School Restores ‘In God We Trust’ Sign After A Huge Rally By Their Students

By -

I’m so proud of these students for telling the ACLU to stuff it and for getting their sign reinstated. They’ve had that sign up there for 16 years, until the ACLU on their anti-Christian jihad started going school to school demanding that all references to God be removed. They cited the Constitution, which by the way, does not mention separation of church and state. That came from a letter penned by Thomas Jefferson a dozen years after the Constitution and Bill of Rights were ratified. That the school districts and boards would fold so willingly to the demands of Marxists such as the ACLU is deplorable and disgusting.

BREAKING: Sheriff Drops Bombshell About Order He Received During Baltimore Riots

By -

On Saturday, peaceful protests in Baltimore gave way to violence and rioting as the mayor sought to “give space” to both the protestors and riotous criminals.

Things got much worse Monday, as roving bands of high school students and opportunistic thugs took to the streets, attacking police officers, looting businesses and torching cars and buildings.

Police Union Demands a Special Prosecutor Because States Attny Has Ties to Freddie Gray Family

By -

Earlier today State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced in Baltimore that she was charging the six officers involved in the Freddie Gray arrest on murder charges. Now the Baltimore Fraternal Order of Police is calling for a special prosecutor to take over the case from the states attorney because they say she has ties to the Gray family and that those ties will bias her against police.

Mosby seems to be making a political statement with her prosecution, so you can bet she won’t give this case up on her own.

Blue Lives Matter: Texas Cop Survives 14 Stab Wounds In Assassination Attempt

By -

HOUSTON, Texas – A Houston Community College police officer has survived an assassination attempt after being stabbed by her assailant 14 times. The officer was saved by civilians who stepped in and stopped the attacker. The attacker told investigators he did this to get back at police for their brutality. A spokesman from the family said it might be related to the Baltimore riots.

Officer April Pikes remains in critical condition at Houston’s Ben Taub Hospital, a public relations official at the Houston Police Department said to Breitbart Texas. Her alleged attacker, Jeremiah M. Matthews, 23, was pulled off of her by a group of men while he was stabbing her and attempting to grab her pistol, according to a statement from HPD obtained by Breitbart Texas.

Or, like her colleague Carol Costello, who refused to apologize on-air after she told her audience to enjoy a recording of Bristol Palin’s assault, will after she only offer a cowardly apology elsewhere.

Brooke Baldwin and CNN spread one of the most defamatory and unfair stereotypes about our veterans thee is. They deserve an on-air apology and a full retraction.

Sen. Tom Cotton Calls Out ‘Cowardly’ Iranian Foreign Minister on Twitter

By -

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) is firing back at comments from Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif about sanctions. In a statement posted on his Senate website, and followed by a series of sharply worded tweets, Cotton goes so far as to call Zarif “cowardly.”

In his statement, Cotton noted that President Barack Obama had “promised sanctions would only be lifted when Iran’s compliance with restrictions on their nuclear program were verified.” However, Zarif has contradicted Obama, issuing his own statement that mentioned Cotton, who had led a group of 47 Senators to sign a letter opposing the deal with Iran unless it was ratified by Congress:

A METHOD OF RECOVERY

The following are the steps to purchase equipment/vehicles in our community:

 1.  Department Heads puts items on the Capital Improvement Plan.

             2.  Department Heads place an approximate cost to it.

             3.  During the budget process, Department Heads lobby for these items to

                  be included in the budget.

             4.  Town Council approves purchases in the proposed budget.

             5.  Department Heads request permission to solicit a bid on the item.

             6.  Once the Department Heads have the bid, they request permission to

purchase the item from the Town Council.

             7.  Once the Town Council approves the purchase of the item, the town

      seeks financing for the item.

 8. The town secures financing and enters into a contract spreading out the

payments over years at an additional fee.

This is one of the reasons; the town is currently in a financial situation it is in.  If the funds were approved during the budget process, and approved for purchase at the bid price, why do we need to finance the purchase?  Financing the purchase means that the taxpayers are going to have to pay an additional payment and pay interest for the duration of the loan.  Right now, according to the town, the taxpayers are forced to pay $63,950.00 in Interest on $273,050.00 Principal.

What is even worse is that the town reused the same money and puts the town into debt further.  In the example above, once financed the town only pays the principle and Interest for the first year.  Example:  Bid was for $54,000.00 and the first years installation is for $4,000.00 the remaining $50,000.00 remains in the General Fund to be used for the next purchase or should I say the next financed item.

The people you can thank for this brilliant concept, are former Town Manager Stephen Eldridge, former Chairman Michael Bowie and former Finance Director Jessica Maloy.  This year alone, the town has a debt service of $156,757.00.  This method of paying for everything through financing, except in the case of an
emergency, has to stop immediately.  Once the funds have been approved for an
item it needs to be purchased in full.  Because the town is under contract for
purchases already financed; the only way to recover is through attrition.

The Town Council needs to put an immediate stop to this procedure and direct the Town Manager there will be no more financing of equipment/ vehicles except in emergencies.  Emergencies are determined by the Town Council and the Town Manager.

Call your Councilors and the Town Manager if you agree. Put us back on track!

Sheriff David Clarke – Failed Liberal Govt Policies, Unemployment Created Ferguson, Baltimore

By -

Neil Cavuto points to the closure of a University of Maryland campus as well as the potential cancelling of a Baltimore Orioles ballgame as rioting continues, asking Sheriff David Clarke, what do you do?
He says that in the interest of the safety of the fans, there isn’t much choice for the Orioles other than to cancel the game. He then notes the connection between the areas of these uprisings, Ferguson, New York and now Baltimore as examples of the result of failed liberal government policies.  Their high unemployment, poverty and poor education systems create an environment conducive to this type of chaotic uprising.

Woman Raped By Muslims Branded A Racists For Bringing Her Sex Abusers To Justice

By -

Britain is a desperately ill society. How can it recover? Only by resolutely and on a massive scale rejecting and repudiating the mindset and ethos that gave rise to this. By removing people like the execrable race-baiters who are responsible for this, such as Nick Lowles and Fiyaz Mughal, from all positions of power and influence. By emphasizing that all people in Britain would be held to the same law, and that Muslims would no longer be a privileged class.

Will any of that happen? Almost certainly not. Britannic Death Watch Update: “Groomed to be a sex slave and branded a racist for bringing my sex abusers to justice: One woman reveals her horrific ordeal in a tell-all book,” by Lara Mcdonnell, Daily Mail, April 22, 2015:

Clinton Foundation Put On Charity ‘Watch List’ Along With Al Sharpton’s Shady Nonprofit

By -

The Clinton Foundation has joined Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network on a list of naughty nonprofits maintained by Charity Navigator, a prominent charity monitor.

The Clinton Foundation was put on Charity Navigator’s “watch list” last month, The New York Post reported on Sunday.

The foundation has come under intense scrutiny of late amid revelations it received millions of dollars in donations from foreign governments while Hillary Clinton served as secretary of state. Money also flowed to the foundation from companies and businessmen who benefited from their relationship to the Clintons.

[Watch] Judge Jeanine Pirro Opening Statement Hillary Clinton Worst President For America

By -

“Justice with Judge Jeanine” host Judge Jeanine Pirro declared Hillary Clinton “the worst possible choice” for president.

Pirro said, “Hillary Clinton would be, without a doubt, hands down, the absolute best CEO of a public company. Ruthless, profit-driven, and all about the money. But if you’re looking for a different kind of CEO, one to run the greatest nation on earth, and bring back America, now teetering on the brink of socialism, to be President of the United States, Hillary Clinton is the worst possible choice…this woman only cares about herself, money, her next step up the political ladder, and if president, will only care about her legacy.”
