Baltimore Residents Fearful amid Rash of Homicides: Police on Slow down

BALTIMORE (AP) — Antoinette Perrine has barricaded her front door since her brother was killed three weeks ago on a basketball court near her home in the Harlem Park neighborhood of West Baltimore. She already has iron bars outside her windows and added metal slabs on the inside to deflect the gunfire.

“I’m afraid to go outside,” said Perrine, 47. “It’s so bad, people are afraid to let their kids outside. People wake up with shots through their windows. Police used to sit on every corner, on the top of the block. These days? They’re nowhere.”

The state senate in Texas passed what’s being called as an anti “Sharia law” bill. The left claims it’s Islamophobic. The right says it plainly states that no laws from any “foreign courts” will be applied judges.

Senator Campbell stated: “It’s just to provide some belt and suspenders to make sure that, with judicial discretion, we don’t trump Texas law, American law, with a foreign law regarding family law.”

Not all in the senate is pleased with Campbell’s bill though. Democratic Senator Kirk Watson stated, “What foreign law are you attempting to prevent being used, and can you give examples of where it has created a problem in the state?”

Beirut (AFP) - A Syrian Christian fighter has beheaded an Islamic State group (IS) militant to avenge people "executed" by the jihadists in northeastern Syria, a monitor said on Friday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the incident took place on Thursday in Hasakeh province, where IS holds large areas of the countryside.

According to the monitor, the Christian fighter, a member of the minority Assyrian community, found the jihadist in the local village of Tal Shamiram.

"He took him prisoner and when he found out he was a member of IS, the Assyrian fighter beheaded him in revenge for abuses committed by the group in the region," Observatory chief Rami Abdel Rahman said.

The Observatory is based in Britain but has covered the Syrian conflict since it broke out four years ago thanks to a network of sources inside the country.

The Christian was fighting in the ranks of Kurdish forces who earlier this month drove IS out of more than a dozen Assyrian villages the jihadists had captured in Hasakeh.

IS has carried out a wave of abuses in areas it controls in both Syria and Iraq, including public beheadings, mass executions, enslavement and rape.

Maine Senate Passes Constitutional Carry Bill

The Maine Senate has passed a "Constitutional Carry" bill with a vote of 21-14. The bill would permit gun owners to legally carry their weapons concealed without a permit. This is the second time in two years that the Senate has considered this type of bill.

While the votes were mostly split along party lines, three Democrats sided with the Republicans in voting for the measure.

An Arizona man named Jon Ritzheimer has announced plans to host a “draw Mohammad” event outside a mosque in Phoenix and he is urging participants to come armed in order to fight off the terrorists he expects to flock to the event.

Ritzheimer is calling his event “round 2″ in reference to the “Draw Mohammad” event in Texas that was attacked by two jihadis both of whom were deservedly killed by police outside the event.

                

It is also being held outside the very mosque in Phoenix where the two hapless, would-be murderers who tried to attack the Texas event belonged.

Baltimore Wants to Charge American Taxpayers for the $20 Million in Riot Damages

The City of Baltimore has done a preliminary cost analysis of the recent riots and decided that the damage amounts to some $20 million. And now the city wants to send the bill to FEMA and have all the rest of us pay their bill.

 Deputy Todd Frazier of Long Beach, Mississippi, a K-9 officer, pulled over last Monday night to check on a car when he noticed that the man in the front seat appeared to be passed out and the lights were off.
