Lisbon Art Created With Match Sticks, Popsicle Sticks & Balsa Wood

Dear Editor,

It was nice to see the paintings, again, of the School/Antique building in Lisbon and others by Mr. Gross, who is obviously a fantastic artist. Regarding the Lisbon building, now an Antique store, a replica has been made using match sticks, popsicle sticks and Balsa wood. They didn't have room at the Historical Center to display it but they do have replicas of the Moxie building, Masonic Hall and former High School, Superintendent's office, that Mr Gross also painted. Other replicas were displayed at the Kitty Corner, which is now with the old owners and the Railroad Tavern, the replica which was recently sold by the previous owners. The Lisbon Falls Fire Dept. has a replica of the fire station building, made for them at the Maine Street station. I think people would be interested in these, if they became aware of them. For anyone knowing Nancy and Rufus Hamm, they have a replica of their own house, as a christmas gift. It might be something of interest.
