What could be better than getting out and enjoying some of what makes Maine special? Just a couple hours ride up ole' Interstate 95 you have the opportunity to view the tallest mountain in Maine and one end of the Appalachian Trail. Mt. Katahdin rises to roughly 5280' above sea level. Sure would be cold up there when this photo was taken. Here's a short video clip, both were taken on Friday, Dec. 5, 2008. The West Branch of the Penobscot River can be heard trickling in the background.
