Lisbon Rec 7th/8th grade football 30 - Winthrop 6‏

On Wednesday, 10/13, Lisbon Rec 7th/8th grade football (4-2) played on home turf and were victorious over Winthrop, final score 30-6.

 

The offense came to play all four quarters.  The 1st quarter included a drive that lasted 5-1/2 minutes, and the second quarter included a fourteen-play unstopppable march down the field to score.

 

Notable offensive players include Joe Philbrick with thirteen carries for 103 yards,including three touchdowns and (1) 2-point conversion; Sean Ball with three carries for 22 yards; RJ Sargent with (2) 2-point conversions; and Kyle Bourget with five carries for 72 yards, including one touchdown.  On passing, Klye Bourget was two-for-two for 35 yards, including a pass for (1) 2-point conversion.

 

There were big QB sacks from the defense, and a total of eight fumble recoveries.  Acknowledgements go to Joe Philbrick with seven tackles, including one QB sack, three assists, and causing two fumbles; Darren Ward with causing one fumble; Henry Adams had a fumble recovery, and Kyle Bourget caused a fumble on kick-off and recovered a fumble.

 

Lisbon Rec 7th/8th football has their next game under the lights at 6:00pm on Wednesday, 10/21 against Jay/Livermore.
