Oct 14th P.W. Girls Soccer results‏

On Tuesday 10/14, Lisbon Sugg middle school girls’ soccer played at home and lost 2 x1 against Gardner.
Even though Greyhounds’ defense was playing very well, the perfect wall pass made by Gardner’s forwards ended up in the Lisbon’s net. Gardner 1, Lisbon 0 that was the score of the first half. In the second half, when Lisbon was about to tie the game up, Gardner took advantage of a Lisbon’s defense mistake and scored their second goal. After that, Lisbon’s goal finally came, to chance the final score to Gardner 2x1 Lisbon.

Goalie Dakota Bisson did an outstanding job coming out of the goal several times with great confidence to get the ball. In two occasions she went out to face Gardner’s forward 1v1 and got the ball from the opponent’s feet in both.
Captain and Sweeper Kailyn Hill used once more her speed and good timing to get several balls out of the defense.
Left Midfielder Abby Gamache, who played her best game so far in this season, carried the ball many times from Lisbon’s defense to Lisbon’s attack, dribbling many opponents.

Offensive line kept showing great improvement by playing closer to each other and making several sharp passes, and Greyhounds’ striker Ashley Conrad once more delighted the public with her technique, and scored her 9th goal in this season kicking the ball over the Goalie from 25 yards of distance.

Greyhounds played their best game so far in this season, showing great improvement since the last time they played against Gardner (Gardner 10 x 0 Lisbon).

Lisbon Sugg middle school girls’ next game is Tuesday, 10/19 at 3:30 pm, an away game against Maranacook.
