The Economic Demize of a small Maine Town

What once was known as a thriving little mill town along the banks of the Androscoggin River has been developed into a 'money sucking pig' Cash Cow Cops & Robbers show.  By design, and I want to emphasize design, the Lisbon Police Department has been manipulating and literally stealing money from YOU the taxpayer.    The rule was Intimidation.  Those that fell victim to it's tentacles became minions for acts of harassment, unscrupulous police procedures or actions unbecoming a Public Safety Officer of the Law.   Well just whose law is it?  Brooks' Law???  Folks,  take a look around ,,,don't you understand you are paying "twice" for a delayed 911 service...now?   GET RID OF THE DAMNED LISBON COMM. CENTER and save yourselves a lot of money.

Vaporize the Lisbon Police Department by having the 'good' officers absorbed into the Sheriff's Department and the rest flushed or become a Wal-Mart greeter.

What about Chief Brooks  LYING to the people about GRANTS ?

Over a MILLION DOLLARS $$$$$   worth of 'carry-overs' and accounting screw-ups..!?!  As Mr. Fillmore has already brought forth. 

 $UM thing just doesn't add up. 

IF THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE IN TOWN GOVERNMENT,

WHY ARE THEY TRYING SO HARD TO HIDE EVERY THING FROM THE TAXPAYER$?

Look at the Economic Picture.  What a terrible waste of money that department has become.  Missing monies while under the watchful eye of then Town Councilor Dale Crafts.  Now he is YOUR State Representative.  Pretty fitting I think???   All of this talk of missing funds, $32,500.00 loaned to a
fictitious business all while under the direction of then Town Manager/Chief of Police David T. Brooks.
 
Brooks directly influenced then Town Councilors; Norma Wells, Charlie Smith, Dale Crafts,
Mike "Beef-Tongue" Bowie, Janet Henry, Fern Larochelle, and Gina Mason, to hire Eldridge over several better qualified applicants.  Eldridge was MMA's poster boy for Town Managers even though he had recently been fired as Rumford's manager.

How's He Been Working Out For You Lisbon?

1.Tried to close down MTM and fire Mark Stevens

2. Rosie Bradley    Ec. Dev. Flag decorator, big salary

3.  Dow,  screwed up the tax commitment & taxes

4. Supported Brooks on Grant(s) knowing it was a lie

5. Eldridge getting an education at the town's expense thru court room trial & error.

Somebody needs to wake up  and look forward enough to see Economic Hard times are ahead. There is no longer employment for hundreds like past times. This towns budget is a complete joke as are the cast of new characters,,,ready for molding.

And so flows more water over the dam, once again Lisbon residents are left high and dry.

It is a shame Lisbon is controlled by a few "Good Old Boys". In any other town when the Chief of Police and the Town Manager deliberately lie to the people, they would be gone; but in Lisbon they get pay raises and a pat on the back for their deception. Lisbon can never heal until Chief Brooks and Mr. Eldridge are gone.
