#BlackLivesMatter … oh, really?

My wife, Mary, and I are finally back home in Florida. As chairman of The Conservative Campaign Committee, we spent most of last year traveling the country getting involved in House and Senate races, helping to elect conservatives – living in hotel rooms and out of Mary’s overly packed far too many suitcases. Christmas a year ago, we treated ourselves to a 60-inch flat-screen TV, which I have not been home to enjoy.

So, I recently was watching a program on a black channel (TV One) and noticed that during every commercial break, an announcer encouraged viewers to get involved in the #BlackLivesMatter movement. Great! Finally, blacks are acknowledging and attempting to deal with the inconvenient truth that 92 percent of the time blacks are murdered by other blacks. Black-on-black crime is huge in Chicago.

Sadly, #BlackLivesMatter has nothing to do with fixing real issues devastating the black community (black-on-black crime, genocidal high numbers of abortions, epidemic school dropouts, incarceration and out of wedlock births).
