Lisbon – Have you heard the latest news in Lisbon? By popular demand from the avid readers in Lisbon High School (LHS) and the greater community, for the first time ever, Lisbon High School librarians are hosting a Book Fair. The event is planned for Thursday, April 2 in the Library from noon until 8 p.m. at the LHS Campus, 2 Sugg Drive in Lisbon Falls. Thanks to the new partnership in education with Barnes and Nobel, this is an excellent opportunity for students, parents and community members to purchase books tax free and with an educators’ discount of 20% off all purchases. “ Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the students at Lisbon High Schools” shares District Librarian, Katy Dodge. Pictured left to right assisting with the planning for the event is Amanda Mason, a LHS young adult volunteer, Jennifer Thompson, Library Assistant, and Dodge. “This event coincides nicely with the parent teacher conference scheduled the same evening.” comments Thompson.
