Lisbon – Fourth grade drama club students at Lisbon Community School(LCS) take a break during a recent rehearsal of the musical tribute by Roger Emerson and John Jacobson,  Destination:  America!   The performance is scheduled on stage at the LCS Campus on 33 Mill Street in Lisbon on Friday, February 6  and Saturday, February 7.  Curtain time on Friday is at 6:00 p.m. with a Saturday matinee at 1:00 p.m.  Director Laurie Cincotta shares “This is the tenth year anniversary for the Lisbon Community School’s Drama Club, so we decided to do a musical tribute on the different types of music across our great country throughout time!  20 of our fourth grade students are singing and dancing to the different musical genres that have influenced our nation from coast to coast! RECAP TOWN COUNCIL MEETING – FEBRUARY 3^RD

 

This is a summary of the Town Council meeting of February 3, 2015.  All Councilors were present with the exception of Councilor Brunelle who was excused.
 
Under Council Orders, Resolutions & Ordinances – The following agenda items were approved by a vote of 6-0.

1.     Set Public Hearing for Conditional TIF – The Council approved a date of March 3, 2015 for the Public Hearing.

2.     Tax Acquired Property – The Council gave the Town Manager permission to continue on collecting full payment on back taxes owed and to issue Quick Claim Deeds on property.

3.     2015 Maine Bureau of Highway Safety (MeBHS) Grant – The Council approved for Chief Brooks to apply for the grant for $3,750.00 and an in-kind grant match.

4.     Budget Schedule – The town Manager presented a tentative schedule for budget meeting and workshops which was approved by the Council.

5.     Police Sergeant Position – The position of Sergeant has become vacant with Sergeant Scott Stewart moving on to another position with the County.  The Council approved the recommendation by the Town Manager to not fill the position.

6.     MDOT Construction Overlimit Permit – The Council approved the waiver necessary for MDOT to work on Route 196.

7.     Schedule Informational Workshop on Revaluation – The Council approved February 24, 2015 for a workshop to inform the Public about how the revaluation will work.

8.     Fee Schedule – The Council approved changes to the Fee Schedule which deal with Town Departments opening of the roads cost and new fees for Beaver Park.

9.     Amend Div.3 Health & Safety Section 82-78 Food Regulations (Second Reading) – This was approved by the Council.

10.    Amend Ch. 70 Zoning Div. 14 – Sec 70-1 Definitions, Sec. 70-564 Dimensional Requirements, Sec. 70-536 Dimensional Requirements, Sec. 70-815 Overlay Zone District Descriptions, and Sec 70-155 Variance limitations (Second Reading).  This was approved by the Council.

 
Under Town Manager’s Report – The Town Manager announced that Public Works would begin removing snow from the downtown area last night.

Under Appointments – Marie Hale and Don Fellows were appointed to the Board of Assessment.  Scott Hall was appointed to the Planning Board Associate Member and Larry Fillmore was appointed to the Finance Committee.

My wife, Mary, and I are finally back home in Florida. As chairman of The Conservative Campaign Committee, we spent most of last year traveling the country getting involved in House and Senate races, helping to elect conservatives – living in hotel rooms and out of Mary’s overly packed far too many suitcases.  Christmas a year ago, we treated ourselves to a 60-inch flat-screen TV, which I have not been home to enjoy.

So, I recently was watching a program on a black channel (TV One) and noticed that during every commercial break, an announcer encouraged viewers to get involved in the #BlackLivesMatter movement. Great! Finally, blacks are acknowledging and attempting to deal with the inconvenient truth that 92 percent of the time blacks are murdered by other blacks. Black-on-black crime is huge in Chicago.

Sadly, #BlackLivesMatter has nothing to do with fixing real issues devastating the black community (black-on-black crime, genocidal high numbers of abortions, epidemic school dropouts, incarceration and out of wedlock births).

Treason - Obama Aids the Enemy!

Well, that didn’t take long. This summer after Barack Obama inexplicably (and illegally) freed five of the Taliban’s most deadly terrorists in exchange for army deserter Bowe Bergdahl, I asked a burning question – a question that remains unanswered: “What will it take for our spineless U.S. Congress to impeach this tyrant? This is way beyond partisan politics. This is about justice. This is about the safety of the American people. Barack Hussein Obama is America’s biggest threat to national security. He is ‘an enemy within.’”

By striking this Faustian bargain with the devil, not only did Obama unilaterally trash the U.S. government’s long-standing policy never to negotiate with terrorists, he brazenly violated a 2013 national defense bill that unambiguously requires he give Congress 30-days notice before releasing any Guantanamo Bay prisoners, much less five of its most deadly.

Article III, Section 3, Clause 1, of the U.S. Constitution defines the crime of treason – dare I say the “high crime” of treason – as “levying War against [the United States], or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.”

Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke stood up and spoke the truth about race on his most recent interview with Fox News.

Sheriff Clarke wasn’t afraid to tell people like Al Sharpton who made snap judgements following the case of his fellow officer Darren Wilson that race was not the real issue.

Group assisting a campaign that is attempting to defeat Netanyahu

Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R., Texas) office called for an investigation on Thursday into the State Department’s funding of a nonprofit group that is assisting a campaign aimed at defeating Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Nick Muzin, deputy chief of staff for Cruz, said the senator was “very disturbed by the reports that the State Department has funded an organization that’s playing a direct role in trying to defeat Benjamin Netanyahu.”

The OneVoice Movement, a U.S.-based nonprofit group that is partnering with the V15 effort to oust Netanyahu in Israel’s March elections, received two grants from the State Department in the past year, the Washington Free Beacon reported on Tuesday.

Cruz and Rep. Lee Zeldin (R., N.Y.) sent a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry calling on the State Department inspector general to investigate whether OneVoice has used any of the grant money to support its partnership with V15, and whether its actions violate its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.
“We write to express strong concerns over the recent media reports that a U.S. taxpayer funded 501(c)(3) non-profit organization called OneVoice is actively working with a campaign operation called V15 or ‘Victory 2015’ in an effort to influence the outcome of the elections in Israel on March 17, 2015,” wrote Cruz and Zeldin.

DHS Hack Janet Napolitano Calls Border Security A Myth – Tell That To The East Germans

   

In an appearance on behalf of her masters at the Council on Foreign Relations, the useless lump who formerly held the position of Director of the Department of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, demonstrated why she was unqualified for the position then and why she’ll always be unqualified to ever hold any position within a Constitution-based United States government.

The CFR host questions Napolitano on the issue of operational control of the border, a concept which Napolitano conflates with sealing the border for the purpose of making her Eeyoresque, it’ll never work argument. According to Napolitano, border security is unachievable, and it is also not something that we want. That’s one of many areas in which the American people differ with the subversive Napolitano. She clearly doesn’t want border control but the American citizens do.

Napolitano concurs with the current DHS border dismantler and fellow CFR lackey Jeh Johnson that securing the border is “utterly impossible.” She agrees emphatically, that he is right in his assessment, but fails to add that the reason is because those who are charged with its security are actively working against it. If we had capable leadership in the form of people who shared the desires of the American people, border security would already be a reality.

Fired Up And Angry Sen Jeff Sessions – Are We Through The Looking Glass? With Lawbreaking Attorney General Nominee

Senator Jeff Sessions minces no words in his evaluation and recommended action in confirmation hearings of Loretta Lynch for the position of Attorney General of the United States.

An incensed Senator Sessions said, “I believe Congress has a duty to defend its legitimate constitutional power. It has several powers of its own, one of them is the power of the purse, one of them is the power of confirmations. I don’t see any need for this Congress to confirm somebody to be the chief law enforcement officer of this nation who is at that table insisting that she intends to execute a policy that’s contrary to law and to what Congress desires and what the American people desire. And says that someone here unlawfully is as much entitled to a job in this country as somebody who’s here lawfully”

He continues, “It’s just beyond my comprehension. Are we through the looking glass? Can’t we see plain fact? So everybody wants to talk about the politics. Well the ‘president’ can do this; he’s shutting down Homeland Security, all these complaints. But the real question is fundamental. What are we going to do to defend our constitutional heritage and what will this Congress be able to say to subsequent Congresses if we acquiesce in these kind of activities?

Forty years ago when my Aunt Nee was the pastor of the Holy Temple Church of Truth, an east Baltimore storefront, during testimony service Sister Davis or Sister Cleary would spontaneously lead the tiny congregation in singing, “We’re Livin’ In the Last Days.” “They’re calling wrong right. They’re calling right wrong. Surely, we’re livin’ in the last days!”

As I listened to Sarah Palin’s speech at the Iowa Freedom Summit, I was elated that she once again displayed her exemplary leadership by not joining the chorus of those on our side who believe touting true conservatism is a loser. Palin said we should expose the Left’s false premises and educate the public to the benefits and virtues of Conservatism. Wow! How simple and right on target is that?

Many Republicans believe we have lost the argument and the only way to win votes is to abandon core principles, surrender and campaign according to the Left’s/Democrats’ false premises. In essence, they want the GOP to call wrong right and right wrong.

Smoking Gun Benghazi Documents Show State Department Lied!

Most Americans who have been following the story regarding the attacks on September 11, 2012 are pretty sure that the Obama State Department under Hillary Clinton pushed a false story on the American people. There has been quite a bit of documentation that substantiates this. However, a recent Freedom of Information Act lawsuit has produced new documents that reveal a memo that was sent the day after the Benghazi attacks to the US Embassy in Tunis, Tunisia which shows that the administration, knowing that Benghazi was an Islamic terrorist attack, warned the Embassy of "demonstrations."

Contrary to what the Obama administration had initially claimed in its public comments, top U.S. diplomatic officials knew the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya, was under terrorist attack on September 11, 2012. This is big. In testimony before the U.S. House Oversight Committee on October 10, 2012, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Charlene Lamb let the cat out of the bag. Apparently, the agents within the Diplomatic Security Command Center in Washington, D.C., knew that U.S. embassy personnel were under a terrorist attack from the moment it began.

Maine Is Doing THIS To Stop Its 6,500 Welfare Abusers Dead In Their Tracks

 

Governor Paul LePage of Maine has announced that it is requiring all able-bodied citizens that are capable of working to do so in order to receive food stamps. This mandate will be instated for able-bodied adults who are 18 to 50 years old and have no children. They are required to work (or volunteer) 20 hours per week. If they do not, they will be limited to three-months worth of food stamp benefits over the course of a three-year period.

“We must continue to do all that we can to eliminate generational poverty and get people back to work,” LePage said. “We must protect our limited resources for those who are truly in need and who are doing all they can to be self-sufficient.”

The new law has many current welfare recipients and many liberals up in arms. Although the law is a perfectly logical solution to the issue of welfare abuse, many do not understand why they would need to work in order to receive assistance.

AZ AG, Dead 21-Year-Old American – Illegal Alien Murderer Was Another Allowed To Be In America By Outlaw Obama

The Mexican perpetrator, Apolinar Altamirano, 29, allegedly shot the victim, Grant Ronnebeck, 21, in the face as he counted the coins after Altamirano dumped a jar of change on a counter at 4 a.m. and demanded a pack of cigarettes.

American Citizens Betrayed By Obama’s Amnesty – Rep Marsh Blackburn Speaks Out, Needs America’s Help

Trey Gowdy – End Of His Benghazi Rope – Govt Obstructionism Has To Stop, Pace Is Quickening

 

Obama State Department officials are continuing the covering up of the criminal and likely treasonous acts which took place during and in the aftermath of the Benghazi attacks. They’ve circled their wagons against the threat of exposure by the House Select Committee investigating what took place. Their investigation is clearly something of major concern to those involved, based upon the amount of effort and resources which are being used in the obstruction and obfuscation of the truth.

Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) seems to be becoming frustrated with the continual delays and the deliberate dragging down of the pace of his committee’s investigation by those government officials from whom he has requested information and access to witnesses.

His most prominent adversary on the committee, Rep Elijah Cummings (D-GA), went so far as to label the investigation as moving at a “glacial” pace, not in the advocacy of speeding it up but as a supportive claim to discredit and dismiss their efforts. Rather than cooperate, they are minimizing the release of data and the availability of witnesses in order stall the investigation and prevent access to critical and likely damaging information.

Obama Says He’s Not Secretly A Muslim, But That It Wouldn’t Be A Bad Thing If He Were

   

 

One thing that we have all learned about Hussein Obama is that he is first and foremost a political operative and everything he does, every speech, every event, every proclamation and every act is done in the furtherance of a political objective and often staged for our consumption.

In a Tuesday speech at the Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi, India, Obama made some odd comments which, coming from anyone else might have just been largely ignored as personalizing his remarks.  When Hussein Obama says something which appears to be irrelevant or unwarranted, we are wise to investigate further.

The purpose of the portion of the speech in the video seems clearly to be another of his pro-Muslim presentations. While it is probably primarily directed towards the domestic American audience, he surely recognizes the damage Islamic terrorists have done to the reputation of Muslims worldwide and it’s a personal responsibility of his, somehow, to take corrective measures.

Angry Ralph Peters Jumps Hannity About Bergdahl “Bull” PTSD, Stockholm Syndrome

 

Lt Col Ralph Peters does not hold Bowe Bergdahl or any other traitors to his nation in high regard and if he were trying to keep that a secret he failed miserably. In commenting on the Army’s determination to charge and prosecute Bergdahl for desertion, Hannity turns to Col Ralph Peters and unleashes the beast within. He asks an ill-advised question regarding the possible need for an open mind in understanding and evaluating Bergdahl’s mental state at the time, including any possible role that PTSD or Stockholm syndrome might have played in the events.

It was a stupid question, or as Peters referred to it, “Bull.” He drops Hannity a hint, saying that he’s got to watch his language on air, but Peters is fuming inside.

He reminds Hannity that he didn’t have PTSD or Stockholm syndrome in his unit. He says “What we have here is very, very clear, it’s damnably clear. You have the White House, which doesn’t understand why this is a big deal, I mean, he just deserted, right? Wouldn’t anybody do that? And they just want to protect the ‘president.’ And they are pressuring the Army, pressuring the Army to whitewash this.”

Generals’ Senate Testimony – America Missed Opportunities, Failed Obama Leadership To Blame For Rise Of Islamic Terror

Megyn Kelly reports that Lt General Michael Flynn, the former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, the DIA, has just retired and he is now speaking out about the horrific mismanagement that is our foreign policy and the war on terror under Hussein Obama.

She quotes a Daily Beast report in which Flynn said, “This administration is unwilling to admit the scope of Islamic extremism, calling the Obama approach “well intentioned but paralyzing for the people trying to help win this fight.” He may have been overly generous in giving them credit for being well intentioned.

Two other highly respected retired generals, James Mattis and Jack Keane testified before Congress earlier in the day and both identified the radical Islamic threat as well as the regime’s failure to recognize the enemy for what and who it is as serious, urgent national security issues.

Under the kingdom’s strict dress code for women, Saudi females are required to wear a headscarf and loose, black robes in public. Most women in Saudi Arabia cover their hair and face with a veil known as the niqab. But covering one’s head is not required for foreigners, and some Western women choose to forego the headscarf while in Saudi Arabia.

Obama Plans Huge Fed Land Grab To Prevent American Oil Production In Alaska

He’s making up for that lost ground though, announcing plans to take twelve million acres of open, resource laden land in the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge permanently out of production, supposedly setting it aside for future generations. Part of what he’s doing is removing and preventing competition to other energy producers, such as his new soul mates in Iran, and helping to bolster their sagging oil prices. The new Saudi King, who perhaps may not yet hate Obama as much as his predecessor did, also stands to benefit from Obama’s treachery.

In the video Obama takes the viewer, assumed to be an ignorant liberal bug-eater, through a National Geographic-style infomercial highlighting how great this remote place is and how it would all be recklessly and completely destroyed if man were to develop the infinitesimal portion of it that would be involved in making it productive. His lie in this case includes the statement that this area is “very fragile.”

Sen Feinstein – Sounding More Like A Republican Now On War On ISIS, Afghanistan

 

The CBS “Face The Nation” program is a home field for the Democrats and Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) has not been shy about taking advantage of it in the past. Now that she is no longer chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, she seems to be adopting a more realistic approach than the destructive, obstinate party hard-line she has maintained. Her former self-destructive partisanship was illustrated in December by her reckless release of the CIA “torture” report for the purpose of scoring political points for the White House.

Feinstein now has concluded that the intelligence capability, the area of her previous oversight is weak, particularly in the area of human intelligence. She speaks specifically to the situation in Yemen saying that nobody knows what’s going to happen there and that should not be the case. She also gets into the area of Iran’s role in the destabilization across the entire region.

Feinstein allowed to stage to be set and most of these developments to occur without so much as a peep while running protective cover for her party’s pro-caliphate “president.” But that was then and this is now. She is in essence grading her own performance and giving herself a failing grade but it’s ok now, the Republicans are in charge and the blame will be shifted.

Obama Not Surprised In Yemen, Still Working With Govt That No Longer Exists

   

 

White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough made the talk show rounds on Sunday in defense of the failed policies of the Obama regime. He was asked by Bob Schieffer of “Face The Nation” how the Obama comments that we have not curtailed our joint counter-terrorism efforts with Yemen could possibly be a true statement when the government we were partnered with has been run out of power.

McDonough is not on the program to provide answers, but to talk in circles and deflect responsibility, as he proceeds to demonstrate. He replies with an ambiguous “Important counter-terrorism efforts continue, there’s no doubt about that and we will continue to press that.” Whether he meant he would press the talking point or the efforts wasn’t clear but it was odd language to use if he meant the actual events against the Islamic terrorists in Yemen.

He follows that up by saying that the regime “Will also continue to make sure that we have the intelligence that we need to see threats as they manifest.” He’s either stating that they saw the threat and didn’t respond or saw the threat and responded inadequately. He used the word “continue,” so he’s stating that the intelligence to know what was taking place was there. The next question from Schieffer should be, if you knew it was happening, why didn’t you do something to prevent it? McDonough is filibustering and the ever-polite Mr. Schieffer can’t bring himself to interrupt.

Muslim “No-Go” Zones Are Already Here – Domestic Terror Camps In Nine U.S. States

 

 

Many of us were shocked when we first learned of the Pakistani-sponsored terrorist training camps within the United States. These aren’t merely some dual purpose mosques, but as the video shows, real dedicated training facilities established for the explicit purpose of training radical Islamic terrorists in the craft of killing Americans.

The interview starts off with footage of a confrontation the guest, Martin Mawyer and his associates had with members of an Islamic training facility in Red House, VA. The operators of the facility had extended an open invitation to anyone who wanted to come visit their compounds in search of reassurance that their intentions were peaceful. It appears they didn’t expect that anyone would actually take them up on their offer as they certainly were not welcoming to outsiders.

Mawyer brought with him a video of the terror training which was actually produced by the Islamists for use by their devotees.  Some of the techniques covered in the video include kidnapping, strangulation, how to kill guards and guerilla warfare tactics.

Rev Manning – Obama A Hitler With Full Grip Of A Nation Too Ignorant, Fearful To Stop Him

   

 

Reverend James David Manning discusses the Obama State of the Union theatrical presentation, saying that in it, “Obama addressed billionaires, the media who are also becoming billionaires” and notes how lucrative it is to be a talking head on Fox or one of the other news channels, citing figures of a million or two million dollars a week.

He includes the banksters and insurance companies, saying “Obama wasn’t addressing the middle class; he was addressing the elite few, including the media.” Manning says, “If there’s one thing that I find insulting about people who declare that they want to take down Obama is the fact that they fail to recognize that there is no such thing as a conservative or a liberal media. They are simply two sides of the same coin.”

He continues, saying, “They are all working for the same puppet master. They are all on the take, all of them. And all of their stories are edited; every last one of their stories.” He notes how Ed Schultz was kicked out of his favored time slot at MSNBC for running something too critical of Hussein Obama.

LISBON STUDENTS BENEFIT FROM TOPSHAM GRANGE TECHNOLOGY GRANT

Alex Wagner, an Obama personal friend and propagandist at his MSNBC mouthpiece, has more than just a passing interest in how well the regime is perceived among the peasant class of America. Her husband, Sam Kass, has a phony baloney job as the “Let’s Move” executive director, the “you’ll eat what I tell you to eat and like it” program of first semi-female, Michelle Obama. Illustrative of their close relationship, the Obama’s were both in attendance at the Kass-Wagner 2014 wedding.

On Thursday Wagner delivered a typical below the belt MSNBC comment in a passive defense of her Dear Leader as she equated the meaningless New England Patriots football controversy with the Benghazi attacks and the probable treason which took place in both the events and the subsequent cover-up.

Judge Jeanine Calls Out Swollen Pimple Michael Moore’s Attacks On American Hero Chris Kyle

   

 

Judge Jeanine says she’s sick and tired of people who aren’t worthy of carrying Chris Kyle’s backpack taking cheap shots at American heroes and their sacrifices for our nation.

The judge addresses the comments of leftist Michael Moore, who she notes wouldn’t last one day in basic training, let alone SEAL training, in which he said that snipers are cowards who shoot people in the back and certainly are not heroes.

She summarizes the character of Kyle and his dedication to God, country and family, contrasting that to the overall lack of any redeemable characteristics in the parasitic self-serving personage of Mr. Moore.

She quotes Kyle’s disdain for the political rules of engagement which he described as being established by “Some fat ass Congressman sitting in a leather chair smoking a cigar in a DC air-conditioned office telling him when he could and couldn’t shoot the enemy.”
