There’s a bombshell of a rumor going around right now that Chief Justice John Roberts has signed off on Interpol to have Obama removed from office for multiple counts of treason.

The charges are to include declaring war without consent of Congress, Second Amendment infringements, and abuse of the Posse Comitatus Act during the Bundy land dispute.

When Obama was sworn into office he took an oath to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States of America,” however according to the leaked document he’s guilty of the following crimes;

Resident Wants To 'Axe' Police Budget And Not The School

Cut the Tax Rate Without Cutting the School Budget 

 A few weeks ago I made a comparison between Lisbon and Standish budgets and Police Departments.

Both of these towns have  similar populations, crime rates and both are close to other towns with higher crime rates.  

Lisbon  adjacent to Lewiston and Brunswick
Standish is close to Portland and Biddeford (5th most dangerous in Maine)

If you examine the budgets of these towns you will find Standish pays a fraction of the cost we pay for Police protection. They have a contract with Cumberland County Sheriffs Department. The savings from this contract enables them to have a much lower tax mil rate.

Here is a copy of their first contract with their County Sheriffs Dept.  Notice the drastic difference in public safety cost.

I know this contract is a few years old but the above contract will give you a rough indication of the savings we could realize if we follow Standish and contract with our county Sheriffs Department.

 Don't believe the people that tell you this change would cause a crime wave. This is another fact less claim.

If you look at the 11 communities, our size, on Maine's "50 most dangerous places in Maine" you will discover that 9 of these 11 communities have large police forces.

Large Police Forces don't necessarily reduce crime rates.

Why are we cutting  $600.000 from the School Department when we could switch to Androscoggin County Sheriffs Department and save more. And this change would not jeopardize our kids education?  

Our  Town Council should at least get a quote from Androscoggin County Sheriffs Dept..  

Call your Councilors and demand they listen to your needs.

The Major Suspect in ‘Top Model’ killing was Dreamer approved for Obama Amnesty

The illegal charged with killing an “America’s Next Top Model” contestant was only in the U.S. because the administration had granted him amnesty under President Obama’s 2012 policy for so-called Dreamers, two senators revealed Friday afternoon.

Emmanuel Jesus Rangel-Hernandez was first arrested on drug charges and was set to go before an immigration judge, but he had his deportation case closed after he was granted amnesty, or “deferred action,” in late 2013, according to documents Sens. Charles E. Grassley and Tom Tillis released.

The young man has now been charged with three counts of murder stemming from the February slaying of three persons, including Mirjana Puhar, who had appeared on the “Top Model” show last year. He has also been charged with murder in a separate case, too, The Associated Press reported.

THE GREAT IMPOSTOR?

In April 2001, E. Ryan Leighton, was hired as the Town Engineer even though he was not a Licensed Professional Engineer.  His salary was the same as a Licensed Professional Engineer would have normal received as starting pay.  Mr. Leighton continued this ruse until the State of Maine notified him and the town this was in violation of 32 M.R.S.A. Statute 1351 (emphasis added)  (see letter attached).

Since April 2001, Mr. Leighton’s salary has increased to the point it is currently $81,080.00.  This however, is divided by four because he has been appointed as the Director of Public Works, Director of Solid Waste and Director of Treatment Plant also.  This includes the 2% Cost of Living Allowance across the board that is in the current budget.

Any project costing the town more than $100,000.00 had to have a Licensed Professional Engineer perform the engineering duties.  This means two things:  (1) the Town Council and the Town Manager at the time were aware that Mr. Leighton was not qualified as an engineer and (2) this added an additional expense to the town by having a Licensed Professional Engineer perform the Engineering duties.

Mr. Leighton has been impersonating and receiving compensation as an Engineer since April 2001.   He did this knowing that he was receiving money from the taxpayers for a job he was not qualified to perform.  Webster has a word for this and it is “Embezzlement”.  I believe that Mr. Leighton should have to reimburse the taxpayers of this community for the monies he received as an Engineer.

I know that the town has taken his name off the web site as the Town Engineer.  This is a good first step and the $20,270.00 currently in the proposed budget should also be eliminated because he is no longer the Town Engineer and will not be in Fiscal Year 2015-2016.

It is time that the current Town Council and Town Manager take direct action with Mr. Leighton for years of impersonating an Engineer and deceiving the taxpayers.

Students at Pine Bush High School in Pine Bush, New York, knew right away there was something not quite right about the Pledge of Allegiance. That’s because the pledge was being recited in Arabic.

“One nation under Allah,” the student body president announced over the intercom system on Wednesday.

Reaction in the upstate New York high school was swift, and so was the backlash, The Times Herald-Record reports. Furious students tried to shout down the recitation in their classrooms. Other students sat down in protest.

The Senate’s top Democrat is proud of securing taxpayer backing for a green energy company accused by former employees of fraudulently obtaining federal grant money, his office said this week.

Two former employees of Ormat Technologies filed a lawsuit in 2013 claiming the company lied to the Treasury Department in order to secure more than $130 million in federal grants. The lawsuit was unsealed last year, but has garnered little attention since then.

In a series of emails, a spokeswoman for Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) defended his work on behalf of the Israeli company, which operates geothermal energy plants in Nevada and is fighting the allegations in federal court.

The allegations are “unsubstantiated,” Kristen Orthman, a spokeswoman for Reid, said in an email. Asked whether the senator regrets going to bat for the company, she replied, “LOL. Of course not.”
Reid has advanced Ormat’s interests in Washington, and the company has supported him financially. Its chairman, Yoram Bronicki, donated the maximum permitted amount to Reid’s 2010 reelection campaign.

It reflects the struggles of our warriors in wartime and shows how they fight the enemy. These enemies are terrorists and they also happen to be Muslim. It’s not hateful rhetoric – it’s the truth. If your religion condones blowing people up, cutting off their heads, crucifying them, torturing them, shooting them, stoning them, hanging them, throwing them off tall buildings, burning them alive or burying them alive, then perhaps you should look to fixing your religion. Not blaming those who are protecting others from your atrocities.

Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper are being targeted by a Muslim group against American Sniper. This is ridiculous.

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee is accusing the film of fueling anti-Islam sentiments by Americans and is demanding Eastwood and Cooper to speak out against the Oscar-winning film. The group blames the movie for villainizing Muslims and believe their lives to be in danger since its release.

Dana Perino: Obama Signaling To Hamas And Hezbollah That It’s ‘Open Season’ On Israel

Fox News host and former White House press secretary Dana Perino said on “The Kelly File” that the Obama administration is signaling to terrorist organizations Hamas and Hezbollah that it is “open season on Israel” with its comments that their support for the Jewish nation at the United Nations was in jeopardy.

“There was [a] troubling report tonight, I think out of a senior administration official,” Perino said, “someone floating a little bit of a trial balloon out there to say there might be some problems now that the United States has with Israel, and that might actually leak into conversations at the United Nations Security Council, in which Europe has not been supportive of Israel.”

“If the White House — if the president in his last two years floats an idea that the United States may not support Israel at the United Nations, even if he doesn’t mean it, but if it is out of spite, that is a huge problem,” she opined. “Because what it does is it signals to Hamas and Hezbollah that it is open season on Israel.”

“So I would just hope that the president would just take a breath,” Perino concluded, “It’s OK to call, say congratulations, and move on.”

LISBON'S MIDDLE SCHOOL HOSTING POETRY CONTEST

Lisbon - In celebration of April being National Poetry month, students at Lisbon's Philip W. Sugg Middle School will be participating in the annual Poetry Contest supported by District Librarian, Katy Dodge, and Library Assistant, Tim Gaudet.  The program will run from Monday, April 13th through Friday, April 17th.   Library  windows at the 4 Sugg Drive campus will display the title, author and first line of thirty different poems. Students are required to research and write the poem's second line on their individual entry form for the contest.   The poems include old and new classic pieces by Maya Angelou, Longfellow, Shell Silverstein, Ogden Nash in addition to some famous lyrics from songs about the Civil War and the wild, wild west. WHERE CAN WE MAKE CUTS?

In my article titled “Where Can We Make Cuts? I made a mistake.  According to the Town Manager, 01-115 Crime Insurance pertaining to all town employees and therefore should remain under 01-115 Insurance.  This would reduce the total operating cost of the Police Department by $991.00.  The total Cost of operating the Police Department should be $1,828,412.00. 

The Town Manager presented the initial proposed municipal budget.  Below is the true cost for the Police Department.  There is no wonder our taxes are so high for this bedroom community.  For numerous years, the Concerned Citizens have been trying to tell the people what the actual cost of operating the Police Department really was but a lot of expenditures were hidden elsewhere in the budget.  Our new Town Manager has made it easier to locate all the expenditures in the budget.  I only wish that she would put all the expenditures under the departments thus enabling the taxpayers to see the TOTAL OPERATING COST OF EACH DEPARTMENT.  This would make it a lot easier to see where to make cuts.

 The following is what the taxpayers are forced to pay for a police force.

            1,332,877.00 – Police

                  82,490.00 – Animal Control

                339,784.00 – Dispatch/Communication Center

            1,755,151.00  TOTAL

 However, this is not the actual cost because the following expenditures are elsewhere in the budget:

                     9,559.00 – Police Liability is under 01-115 Insurance

                        991.00 – Crime Insurance is under 01-115 Insurance

                   17,604.00 – PD Full Service Support is under 01-135 Technology, Service

                                         & Support Agreement

                   14,285.00 – Tritech PD is under 01-135 Technology, Service & Support

                                          Agreement

                      6,078.00 – 13 PDPatrol is under 09-900 Debt Service for leased vehicle

                      5,952.00 – K9 Unit is under 09-900 Debt Service for leased vehicle

 The total operating cost of the Police Department to the taxpayers is the sum of these two figures:

How close is this to two million?

It is ridiculous for taxpayers to be paying almost 2 million ($2,000,000.00) for the Police Department in our community.  The taxpayers do not have this kind of money especially when the County can provide the same service at a cost considerably less than we are paying now.  My guess is that we could save close to a million (1,000,000.00) tax dollar thus reducing our taxes.

Why are we allowing this to go on?  Please call your councilors and the Town Manager and let’s reduce the operating cost of the Police Department.  I have recommended several times each year that the town ask the County for a quote to take over the operations of the Police Department.

RECAP TOWN COUNCIL MEETING – MARCH 17TH

This is a summary of the issues discussed at last night’s Town Council meeting.  The following agenda items were approved by the Council with a vote of 7-0.

 Under Council Orders Resolutions & Ordinances –

1.     FY-13 Homeland Security Grant Application – The Council authorized the Public Works Director to apply for this grant.

2.     Androscoggin Transportation Resource Center Projects – The Council approved for Route 196/Village and Route 196 from Capital Avenue to Canal Street to be added to the projects already on the list.

3.     ME Bureau of Highway Safety Grant – The Council approved for Chief Brooks to apply for the 2015 Buckle Up – No Excuses Seat Belt Enforcement and Education Campaign grant.

4.     Schedule MS4 Workshop – The Council approved Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 7:00 PM as the date for the MS4 workshop.  This workshop is to discuss Stormwater Management and What it means to Municipalities.

5.     Update Budget Schedule – The Town Manager presented a new schedule for discussion on the proposed budget and the Council approved it.

6.     Tax Acquired Bids – The Council approved the sale of the following properties to the individuals indicated:  384 Lisbon Street – Pat Maloy for $10,135.00; 9 Gendron Drive – Pat Maloy for 3,120.00 and finally 9 County Road – Carl Huston Jr. for 2,575.00.

7.     Non-Storm Water Discharge Ordinance – Was approved by the Council.

8.     Post-Construction Storm Water Management  - Was approved by the Council

9.     Section 47-4 Street Excavations Amendment – Was approved by the Council.

 
Under Other Business – Budget Discussion with Legal Counsel – The Town Attorney provided a presentation on his legal opinion on what the responsibilities of the School Department and the Town Council are.  The Town Manager presented to the Council her initial proposed municipal budget.  There was a small discussion on some of the items in the budget.  The Town Manager announced that the new Finance Director would take over on March 30, 2015.

Under Council Communication – There was a discussion relating to the Finance Committee.  Chairman Pesce wanted approval to schedule a meeting on Monday with the current Finance Committee to select a Chair person and a Vice – Chair.

Obama’s determined to negotiate with Iran a regime that brays “Death to America” as its motto

Having the U.N. Security Council bless a deal wouldn’t make it binding under our Constitution. So, as we warned earlier this week, the international-law game it is. It is no secret that Barack Obama does not have much use for the United States Constitution. It is a governing plan for a free, self-determining people. Hence, it is littered with roadblocks against schemes to rule the people against their will. When it comes to our imperious president’s scheme to enable our enemy, Iran, to become a nuclear-weapons power — a scheme that falls somewhere between delusional and despicable, depending on your sense of Obama’s good faith — the salient barrier is that only Congress can make real law. Most lawmakers think it would be a catastrophe to forge a clear path to the world’s most destructive weapons for the world’s worst regime — a regime that brays “Death to America” as its motto; that has killed thousands of Americans since 1979; that remains the world’s leading state sponsor of jihadist terrorism; that pledges to wipe our ally Israel off the map; and that just three weeks ago, in the midst of negotiations with Obama, conducted a drill in which its armed forces fired ballistic missiles at a replica U.S. aircraft carrier.

DESTROYING AMERICA: Obama Has Created Larger Deficit Than EVERY Other President Combined

A closer look at some of the numbers connected with the U.S. budget has found that in a mere six years Obama has created a deficit that adds up to more than the deficits of EVERY other president combined.

Joe Hoft took a look at the numbers and found this outrageous truth. This is part and parcel to Obama’s plan to destroy the USA, certainly.

A deficit occurs when annual government spending is greater than its revenues. When a government overspends resulting in a deficit, it must borrow money to stay afloat. Currently the US the government has over $18 Trillion in US Debt. This is the result of years of overspending. Of the $18 Trillion in US Debt, $13 Trillion is debt owed to the public but $5 Trillion is debt the government owes to other government agencies, like Social Security, where the government borrowed from these agencies when it needed money. The $13 Trillion in debt owed to the public is due to deficit spending and the accumulated interest payables related to the large amount of debt.
