Taxpayers Get Shafted Again, Eldridge Tenured For Another Year

Lisbon Maine Council snubs it's nose at taxpayers

A reliable source reported that Lisbon Councilors totally ignored the advice of numerous sources and without any public debate approved the Town Managers contract for another year.

By doing so the Councilors gave tacit approval of the previous actions of Mr. Eldridge. Their actions would indicate they approve of the way the manager treats his subordinates along with the other questionable actions Mr. Eldridge has engaged in during the last year.

Why were the Councilors so quick to approve a contract without more public scrutiny? No other contract they will sign will set the tone more for the coming year. They spend months on whether we can be trusted with fireworks but  quickly approve the contract of the man that will run the town.

This Council doesn’t reflect the views of the public. We need Councilors that do the will of the people, not ones that place their own interests first.

The only solution for this “good old boys network” is at the ballot box in November.

Respectfully
