GOPDD: S.C. teacher bites off teen’s tongue during attempted rape in her home

It seems there is never an end to the crazies. A 16-year old young man attempted to rape a 33-year old woman in her home in South Carolina, but she fought back by biting off his tongue.

The New York Daily News reports, “Stop fighting and I won’t hurt you,” Antoine Miller, who’s charged as an adult in the case, allegedly told the 33-year-old woman after tackling her while armed with a knife, the Smoking Gun reported.

LOSING YOUR INTEGRITY

The Town Council, during the budget season was looking for ways to reduce the tax burden on the people. The Town Council asked the Town Manager to look into the Consolidation of the Communication Center with the County as a method of saving money. The Town Manager requested and received estimates from the County as to the cost of this merger. The following is the estimated cost savings:

$165,784.00 $190,000.00 $365,784.00

As you can see, regardless of which one you use, is a significant saving of tax dollars for the people.

The Sheriff asked the town if they would like to pursue this course of action to justify the $225,000 the Sheriff included in the County budget. No one was asking for a legal commitment or asking to sign any contract. The Sheriff needed to justify the money in his budget.

At the meeting on October 6^th, Chief Brooks filled the chambers with his people to ask the Town Council to leave things the way they were. This was after months of work being done alongside the Sheriff. Chief Brooks misspoke several times and made it sound like this is a big change for the people. This is a false statement. The joining for the two communication centers will save lives because there will not be a need to relay emergency situation through the Lisbon Communication center. Instead, the emergency information will be received by the Androscoggin County Dispatch and they will dispatch Lisbon’s First Responders. The people will not see any change at all in their service they are receiving.

This consolidation will eliminate the middle man so that the county dispatcher will dispatch our personnel. Eliminating the middle man will speed up the response time of First Responders. In an emergency situation, time is of the essence. Saving lives should always be the number one priority over money. However, The Town Council voted NOT to go any further on this project.

Chairman Pesce has stated repeatedly that he is not afraid to take on the special interest groups if it is in the best interest of the community. Well, we all witnessed this is not true. Chairman Pesce killed a project that would save lives and reduce the operating cost of the town which would have reduced taxes just to appease Chief Brooks.

Chairman Pesce had no problems screwing with the School Department to get his way and yet he bowed down to the Police Department after so much work had been done. There is no integrity here. Chairman Pesce is now a full fledge politician. It is my opinion, he talks out of both sides of his mouth and says nothing.

The Department of Defense has confirmed that an American has been killed in action while fighting ISIS in Iraq. The first American killed in the fight against ISIS…. THIS is what we know of the events leading up to this soldiers sacrifice for his country!

Previously, the military’s role in Iraq has been limited to training and assisting Iraqi forces only. But dozens of special forces troops joined with Kurdish peshmerga fighters after being tipped off that dozens of hostages were facing a mass execution. American troops provided helicopter support, and then went with Iraqi troops to the compound, where over 70 hostages were rescued.

In an interview with Fox Business Channel, businessman Donald Trump said he would “absolutely” revoke passports and close radical mosques in order to fight ISIS.

In a heart-wrenching segment on CNN Wednesday Patricia Smith, the mother of the slain Benghazi consulate employee Sean Smith, appeared on CNN’s Newsroom to discuss Hillary Clinton’s impending testimony before Congress. The first question that CNN’s Carol Costello asked set the tone of Smith’s interview. Costello wondered what Smith was hoping to hear from Clinton on Thursday.

“Answers. Why did my son die? Why did Hillary choose what she chose? How come she made such bad decisions that my son and the ambassador and the other two guys got killed? There’s a whole bunch of questions I have. I need her to make some answers.”

Middle School Boys Soccer Results, 10/22/15, PWS vs Monmouth‏

The PWS Greyhounds could't have been more equally matched facing the Monmouth Mustangs on the opponents field ending in a 0-0 tie.

Both teams battled for control of the ball over every bit of field but neither was able to take many shots on goal. Greyhound Striker Captain #10 Jack Tibbetts had the first opportunity to send one in on a PK during the first half but Mustang Goalie Ed Zuis was able to deflect it away. Likewise later in the second half it was Monmouth that was awarded a PK and as before the excellent shot was deflected by an exceptional goalie, this time Lisbon's own Levi Levesque.

The [5-0-4] Greyhounds next game is scheduled to be away versus Gardiner, the date TBA.

LISBON — Controversy between the Town Council and the School Committee over the proposed school budget for 2015-16 has townspeople feeling the need to get more involved, candidates at Tuesday night's Meet the Candidates forum said.

Candidates for three seats on the seven-member council said they bring the skill of collaboration to the table and it's one of the main reasons they are seeking election Nov. 3.

Middle School Boys Soccer Results, 10/21/15, PWS vs Winthrop & Richmond‏

The PWS Greyhounds in 2 days played 2 solid home games and displayed their undying resolve in their quest for victories, first defeating the Winthrop Ramblers 2-0 and then a 2-2 tie with the Richmond Bobcats.

Against the Ramblers, Lisbon played with intensity but it wasn’t until well into the second half that the first goal of the game was made by Striker Captain #10 Jack Tibbetts assisted by Left Wing #2 Zeke Spiro. Then just two minutes later Tibbetts scored again, this time assisted by Right Wing #12 DJ Douglass. Lisbon’s Halfbacks #11 Neil LaRochelle and #19 Hunter Burkhardt kept the middle energized while Sweeper #20 Seth Dyer kept Winthrop away from scoring and secured the shutout with a 2-0 game final.

Lisbon’s battle with Richmond was to be much more uphill as the game virtually started with 2 goals in Richmond favor within just 6 minutes of play off of desperate scrambling moves deep in Greyhound territory. Still, “determination” was the evident character of the ‘Hounds as they fought valiantly for a shooting position with Stopper Captain #15 Jacob George repelling numerous Bobcat attacks and Striker Captain #10 Jack Tibbetts taking the battle deep into Bobcat territory. It wasn’t until several minutes into the second half when the powerful foot of Lisbon’s Right Wing #12 DJ Douglass fired one past Richmond’s goalie. Next it was Lisbon’s Left Wing #2 Zeke Spiro who capitalized on a loose ball and sent in the shot that tied the game at 2-2.

The [5-0-3] Greyhounds play their third day in a row, this time away versus Monmouth, Thursday, October 22.

Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R., N.H.) took aim at Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan’s past support for “sanctuary cities,” which ignore federal immigration laws.

Ayotte, an incumbent Republican, said that local policies that defy federal law threatens the safety of the general public.

“I believe we should enforce our laws, and I believe that we shouldn’t have sanctuary cities and that we should allow local law enforcement to cooperate with federal law enforcement, because it’s important,” Ayotte told a New Hampshire radio host on Tuesday.

RECAP TOWN COUNCIL MEEETING – OCTOBER 20TH

At last night’s Town Council meeting, the following items were discussed and some voted on.

Under Council Orders, Resolutions & Ordinances:

1. 2015-2016 School Budget Warrant Articles – These Warrant Articles were approved by a vote of 5-2. The two NO votes were by Councilors Garrison and Lunt.

2. Town Office Roof Replacement – The Council awarded the bid to JARR Management, Inc. for a cost of $97,750.00. Work will begin as soon as the materials arrive.

3. MDOT Agreement – The Council voted 7-0 to have the Town Manager sign the three agreements.

4. November/December Council Meeting Schedule – The Council approved the following dates by a vote of 7-0. In November, they cancelled the 3^rd because of the election and approved November 10^th and a Public Hearing on the 17^th. For December they approved the 1^st.

5. Schedule public hearing date for proposed Downtown Omnibus Municipal TIF. The Council approved November 17^th for the Public Hearing.

6. Cemetery Fees – This item the Council tabled for another time.

7. Sale of Town Owned Property Reserve Account – The Council approved by a vote of 7-0 to establish a Property Reserve Account.

8. Dispatch Contracts – The Council approved the Town Manager and Chief Brooks to begin negotiations with Greene and Durham on renewal of their contracts.

9. Legal Fees for County Lawsuit – The Town Manager announced the town had spent $1,060 on legal fees.

10. Androscoggin County Charter Amendment – The Council voted 7-0 to vote to adopt this Resolution.

11. Tax Collector Small Claims Court proceedings for Delinquent Personal Property Taxpayers – This was approved by a vote of 7-0 to move forward.

Under Appointments – Charity G. Klinger was appointed as Constable.

BATH, Maine — Eighteen Bath Iron Works employees formally complained to the Maine Human Rights Commission that the shipyard violated their rights “individually and systematically due to a company-wide pattern of discrimination against older employees.”

Some of the complaints also allege that the shipyard discriminated against employees based on their disabilities and denied reasonable accommodation for disability as required by the federal Americans with Disabilities Act.

A Maine Human Rights Commission investigator found reasonable grounds to support complaints filed by three men, preservation technicians Rodney Kates of Lewiston, Charles Dorr of Sidney and Joseph Page of South China.

LISBON – In a 5-2 vote Tuesday night, the Town Council approved a proposed school budget of just over $15 million, which is $234,188 less than the School Committee recommended.

For the fourth time this year, voters will go to the polls Nov. 3 to decide on a spending plan for 2015-16.

They rejected a $14.93 million budget June 9 and a $14.88 million budget Aug. 11, with the majority saying it was not enough money. The third vote Sept. 22 rejected a $15 million budget.

First off, Trump did not say that Obama has signed an Executive Order to confiscate our guns. He said he had heard from multiple sources that Obama was considering it. So have I. CNN got their panties in a wad over it and claimed he could not constitutionally do such a thing. That is true. But as Trump rightly said, he couldn’t constitutionally do Executive Orders on immigration either. But he did. So, what is to stop him from trying? Not a whole lot. No one has stopped him on anything else. He’s got nothing to lose and everything to gain for his Marxist agenda. I wouldn’t put it past him. We will just have to wait and see if Obama crosses that line of no return.

As we grew up, we found that it was only when others pointed it out that there were any differences with people. Some of us might have more pigment than others, others might have a different texture of hair. But all in all, we all had the same likes and dislikes mostly. So, when people started talking about Affirmative Action and diversity, most people saw that there was a need.

Over the last several years, we have found that the word diversity has become a catch all Leftist phrase. It is a way in which people have wedged political and socio-economic gains. They have done this under the guise of us being “color blind.” We are told that we should want the best candidate, businessperson, and partner. That there should be no regard made over color or race. So what does the left do when they have done too good a job?

LISBON
The Lisbon Town Council will hold a public hearing tonight on the fourth proposed school spending plan proposed by the school committee for the 2015-16 fiscal year.

The council meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the town office.

This year, the council amended and reduced three earlier proposed budgets by the Lisbon School Committee, all of which have been rejected by voters in budget validation referendums since June. A majority of voters in each referendum indicated the opposition to the budget was because education spending proposed by the council was too low.

The school committee has proposed a $15,441,270 spending plan, including adult education, and would reduce taxes by $93,889.

Now, Elkhart County Sheriff Brad Rogers has taken his stance and made it clear to the Obama administration that he will not submit to unconstitutional executive orders to confiscate guns from Americans in his county.

Rogers appeared on a local PBS broadcast to support the rights to keep and bear arms that are to be protected under the Second Amendment.
