Dear Editor,
I am disappointed in the Town Council for raising my taxes 14%. I don't know where I'll get the money. This was after a budget process in which increases were called cuts and some departments were treated different than others.
I am disappointed in the Town Manager for sending my tax bill twice and not admitting it was his mistake; in fact letting others take the blame.
I am disappointed in the Town council for not demanding accountability for this mistake.
I am disappointed with the Town Manager for intimidating employees. Everyone knows whose mistake it was but no one dares say. So much for morale and leadership.
I am disappointed with the Town Council for a generally dismissive and smug attitude toward complaints. A good example is their recent response to charges of confict of interest. They seem either unaware or unconcerned and hide behind their lawyer.
As a lisbon taxpayer I am so disppointed; but I am happy elections are coming.
