Jet-Set Jackson Lee – Grammys Were Great, Memory Fades When Asked Who Paid Her Expenses

Kanye West may have not even noticed Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee in the crowd but there were others who noticed the fish-out-of-water mingling with the rich and famous and they included news reporters from station KPRC in her Houston hometown. Jackson Lee was joined in her big adventure by the equally stunning and irresistible Debbie Wasserman-Shultz. Their key; when someone sees them and reflexively immediately recoils, just tell them you’re a friend of Barry’s, and carry a towel.

Jackson was asked point blank by reporter Andy Cerota who paid for the trip. In her customary double-speak, Jackson made a lot of noise but never answered the question and bolted away from the camera as her wiggle room and her sentence began to run out.

Asked, “Did you pay for the trip to LA?” Jackson Lee replied, “I let my staff and all of my information and I let my staff handle it and I will address the question…” That was it, a meaningless, incomplete response from the typically long-winded Jackson Lee.
