Certified Nurses’ Aides Welcomed at Lakewood

Lewiston – Eleven local students graduated as Certified Nurses’ Aides at Lakewood Continuing Care Center in Waterville on Wednesday, August 17. The outside pinning ceremony was held at the facility with family, friends, administrators, teachers, and community partners in attendance. Students successfully completed a collaborative program of Ready2Work provided by Lawrence Adult Education and an On-the-Job Training Program (OJT) through grant funding provided by Western Maine Community Action and the Lewiston/Augusta CareerCenters. OJT is an incentive based program providing 50% of a trainee’s wages during the duration of the program. Students are empowered with the skills and knowledge essential to the specific job field.

“This is grant funding was very well spent. Our new team members are vibrant and so well prepared” shares Shannon Lockwood, Lakewood Administrator. “Each person made a very important life decision when they committed to this program. We are so proud of them and can’t wait to see what they accomplish!”

A top bundler for President Barack Obama and now Hillary Clinton previously entered into a joint venture agreement with a Malaysian sovereign wealth fund accused of embezzling more than $3 billion dollars internationally.
The troubles surrounding 1Malaysian Development Berhad (1MDB), a state investment fund created by the Malaysian government to promote economic development in the country, has garnered increased headlines in recent days after it was discovered that actor Leonardo DiCaprio’s foundation is linked to the foreign entity.
DiCaprio was slated to host a $33,400-a-head fundraiser at his Hollywood Hills home Tuesday for Hillary Clinton but backed out last minute, citing a scheduling conflict. The fundraiser was moved to the home of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. The Clinton campaign denied the change of venue had anything to do with DiCaprio’s foundation being tied to the embezzlement scheme, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

You see Barak and Michelle Obama in the news and they are always pretending to care about the welfare of the less fortunate. Many people have had a sneaky suspicion that Obama’s motives for visiting the flood victims were not just out of good intentions or to bring inspiration and hope. No, that would be ridiculous, Obama only cares when it benefits him in some way.
Now that our president has been exposed, and the facts are out in the open about his little visit to Louisiana, I’m guessing he would like to crawl under a rock and hide right about now. A black man who lives in a Baton Rouge suburb laid the facts out as plain as day for all to see. Of course, the obvious occurred, it was all about politics and the photo op when he got there, he needed to appear to care even though he showed up two weeks after the people suffered.

On Tuesday, Judicial Watch added to the pressure by bringing up that the Hillary Clinton State Dept. pulled strings so that Miami businessman/Clinton Foundation Donor Claudio Osorio could get a $10 million loan from the federal government which he never intended to repay. Mr. Osorio is now serving a 12-year prison sentence for scamming the federal government and others out of millions.

Four vessels from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) “harassed” a U.S. destroyer on Tuesday by carrying out a “high speed intercept” in the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz, a U.S. defense official said on Wednesday.
The official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said two of the Iranian vessels came within 300 yards of the USS Nitze in an incident that was “unsafe and unprofessional.”

Late Monday, the Daily Caller reported that at least one email indicates that Hillary aide Huma Abedin left classified information in the front seat of her vehicle and asked Clinton assistant Lauren Jiloty to move it someplace a bit more secure.
“I’m going to have ambassador ride on next drive,” Abedin wrote in an email with “Favor” as the subject. “There’s a bunch of burn stuff in the pocket of my front seat.”

The government watchdog group Cause of Action Institute (CofA) just filed a Freedom of Information request for some records regarding Hillary Clinton’s State Department tenure. Seems like $6 billion dollars is now missing.
The inquiry stems from an Inspector General (IG) management alert related to incompetence and mismanagement regarding government contracts, per DailyCaller.com.
“Many of these cases arose during the tenure of Hillary Clinton,” the complaint from CofA reads.

GOPDD: New emails show Clinton Foundation asked Huma Abedin for favors at State Dept.

New emails Monday show the Clinton Foundation using Huma Abedin to try to arrange meetings between the foundation’s supporters and then-State Department Secretary Hillary Clinton.
In one exchange Doug Band, who headed the Clinton Global Initiative, asked Ms. Abedin to try to help with a visa for a soccer player from a British team, Wolverhampton FC. Ms. Abedin at first thought she might be able to speed up the interview, but then said she was worried about crossing lines.
“Makes me nervous to get involved but I’ll ask,” she told Mr. Band in one message obtained by Judicial Watch, a conservative group that’s pushed to get a look at the Clinton emails.
“Then dont [sic],” Mr. Band replied to Ms. Abedin.

Bill Clinton made a series of bold claims about the “load of bull” leveled at his wife Hillary over private email server earlier this month that are easily refuted by public statements from FBI Director James Comey.
On Aug. 12, he boiled down the Democratic nominee’s entire email controversy to a couple of emails with classification markings that he said were of no threat to national security and claimed Comey had said Hillary did not receive any emails “marked classified.”
In reality, Comey said she had been “extremely careless” with classified material and that 110 emails on her server bore classified material at the time they were sent and received.

In a lengthy Sunday piece, Paul Sperry with the New York Post chronicled the 10 years that Huma Abedin worked for Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs. The controversial publication reportedly opposed women’s rights and, at one point, seemed to blame the U.S. for 9/11. Abedin currently serves as a top aide to Clinton’s campaign, and also worked for the First Lady when she served as Secretary of State. The Post reports that Abedin continued to work for the publication until 2008. Abedin’s mother, Saleha Mahmoud Abedin, serves as Editor-In- Chief.
In an article from 1996, Huma’s mother wrote that Clinton and others who spoke at a UN conference were promoting a “very aggressive and radically feminists agenda” that was un- Islamic.
