Quite literally, in John Ladd’s backyard is a fence that separates not just two private properties, but two separate countries. Over the past 30 years, he said his property’s been trespassed by some 500,000 illegal immigrants. And while the conventional political rhetoric is that they’re just coming here for a better life, he said that most of them are ‘dopers.’
Part of Trump’s January executive order on immigration included a threat to withhold federal funding from those cities that provide a ‘sanctuary’ to illegal immigrants. Law enforcement in sanctuary cities are not required to ask those who are detained or arrested whether or not they’re in the country illegally.
But on Tuesday, a U.S. District Judge in California blocked that part of the executive order when Santa Clara County and San Francisco filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration. The Associated Press reported:

“For those that continue to seek improper and illegal entry into this country, be forewarned: This is a new era. This is the Trump era. The lawlessness, the abdication of the duty to enforce our immigration laws and the catch and release practices of old are over,” Sessions said.

A Montgomery County man charged with kidnapping and raping a 12-year-old girl told his friend that she was “fresh meat” before the friend raped her as well, according to arrest records filed in court this week in a case that includes alleged crimes committed in the District.
After the alleged attack in Montgomery, the 12-year-old spoke to detectives and participated in a texting sting in which one of the suspects made incriminating statements, according to the records. The two men were being held Friday in the Montgomery jail on $500,000 bonds, according to court records.

Local authorities released more than 200 undocumented immigrants from prisons and jails in sanctuary jurisdictions over a week-long span despite pending federal detainment orders, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reported Monday.
A single county in central Texas accounted for nearly three-fourths of the 206 undocumented immigrants who were released. Travis County authorities freed 142 people who entered the United States illegally and were subject to deportation.

A Chicago doctor is accused of illegally helping immigrants bypass US citizenship tests. A Chicago doctor and a member of her staff have been charged with falsifying medical documents to help applicants bypass U.S. citizenship tests.
Over 1,000 people a year submit forms to immigration in Chicago alone to waive the requirements for citizenship. The regulations say they must understand English and pass a test in U.S. history and civics, but if they have a doctor fill out a N-648 form they can list any issue or language barrier that might prevent them from meeting these requirements.

WKYUFM is reporting that roughly 20 arrests have been made by ICE in four Kentucky towns.

Fifty-three undocumented foreign nationals living in Kentucky were recently arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An immigration order issued by President Trump in late January said any immigrant living in the country illegally could be up for deportation, but the government has described the arrests as routine.

The Aroma Buffet and Grill, in York, PA, closed for about two weeks when a handful of their illegal immigrant employees were arrested by ICE.
I guess they won’t be smelling the home cooking anytime soon, as they’re probably on their way to deportation land.
So far four employees were hauled away by ICE and that was enough to shut the business for two weeks. A new manager was hired and he’s not sure if the old manager knew his illegal immigrant employees were illegal or not.
