A Reader Writes About Augusta Politics

I get in the mail every month a copy of the Central Maine Business News, printed by Turner Publishing. Just skimming through the latest issue I came across an article, "Eye on Augusta".
Did you know there is a web-site www.MaineOpenGov.org that informs Mainers where their tax dollars are going? I can give my copy to the Lisbon Reporter. It is really eye-opening.
And we wonder why our taxes are so high!
So many rip-offs, and those responsible for watching out for our tax dollars aren't doing their jobs.

Editor's Note: We checked out this site and after a little bit of navigation and trial and error, we found that it does provide a wealth of information for anyone that is interested. And it is FREE, you aren't subject to the ridiculous fee schedule like the Town of Lisbon and all the "stall" tactics that they employ.
Town government transparency, now that just evokes something for future writings.
