Well there, the people of this wonderful community have spoken loud and clear. For sure the town officials will not still see or get the message. So be sure to bring this energy to the "ONLY" Public Meeting Scheduled this year, next week, April 28,2009.
You read it correctly. The town leaders,(how can you lead if you are always going in circles?), have specifically limited the town's peoples input on budget matters to (1) meeting this year.
We will keep you informed and stay tuned for more to come. In the mean time you may click here to follow further developments. Be sure to follow the comments along. It will be interesting to read.
Thank God we are finally going to get the roads fixed in town. But without some equipment to move snow, snowshoes and snowmobiles will be a good investment for next winter's local travel. If we get another "normal" Maine winter like we have had for the past two, the public works equipment will be "Dieing" along the roadside. And your garbage, from the transfer site will be strewn from one end of town to the other. If you don't believe, do your own research.
But by golly we will have some shiny new Fire trucks and Police cars. Whoow wow wee!!!
Hey, Why do we even need the Police Chief, Brooks? Just think of what this town will be without him. Let's see you stuff it down the people again this year Brooks.
We have the potential to make it through all of this but one thing is for certain.
The Town Councilors have not done a very good job with balancing funds in this community. But the future Looks Very Promising for Positive Change. Elections for 3 positions will be held this November. Let's get some people replaced for the betterment of this community. Oh Yeah, it's not a race or a marathon, it's a damned fight for survival.
Respectfully to some,
Todd Comber
