VANDALS STRIKE TOWN GARDEN
Route 196 Town Public
Flower Garden.

hopefully to prevent vehicles from crashing through it,
damaging shrubs, flowers,
and the Worumbo Mill Wheels, again.
Street side, from the last
time someone drove into the garden. A beautiful, large
bush was driven into, torn
from it's roots and had to be removed, and the wheels
were damaged,
again.

Representative in Augusta. Someone ploughed into the
garden with enough force to almost uproot the
tree.
Sadly the tree did not make
it.
They were an attractive
addition to the Town Garden during the day,
and were beautiful at
night. At least on Monday night, until vandals decided
different.

Update: Heat Advisory In Effect July 3 and July 4th. - Lisbon PD is a cooling center
A Heat Advisory means
that a period of hot temperatures is expected. The combinaton of hot
temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in
which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids...stay in an
air-conditioned room...stay out of the sun...and check up on relatives
and neighbors, especially oder adults who live alone, to make sure they
are able to stay cool.
Should someone need a place to go for a bit to cool, the Lisbon Police Department is a designated cooling center.
Stay cool – stay hydrated – if you have young children and/or pets, don’t forget to check the back seat – if you have pets, do not leave them in the car without the air conditioning on; with the current outside temperature of 84o F, in 10 minutes the inside of your car is 103 and within 30 minutes the inside temperature will climb to 118oF.
Please be safe on this 4th of July holiday!
