Been Trying To Tell Ya, Those Turkeys Need Watchin'

Turkey lands in manure truck's cab, causing crash

A wild turkey landed inside the cab of a manure-hauling tractor trailer, startling the driver and sending the truck rolling into a ditch off a northern New York road. State police said Scott Fisher, 38, was traveling in St. Lawrence County near the Canadian border when the turkey flew in through an open window.

As Fisher tried to shoo the bird out of the cab, the truck ran off the road and hit several fence posts and a utility pole before rolling onto its side in a ditch.

Fisher wasn't hurt in the accident Monday.

Police say the turkey escaped, leaving behind some of its feathers.

If You Let This Happen, It Will

Will feds take over public education?

School busAn educational expert is warning that new federal test standards could lead to a federal takeover of the nation's public schools.

Education Secretary Arne Duncan recently announced that the federal government will be spending up to $350 million to create standardized tests compatible with whatever standards are agreed upon by the Common Core State Standards Initiative. So far, 46 states have signed on to participate in the drafting of the educational standards.

Neal McCluskey, the associate director of the Cato Institute's Center for Educational Freedom, says essentially the states will be willing to accept the national tests if federal money comes with it. He adds that, unfortunately, if enough money is put on the table, the federal government will essentially be calling the shots.

Neal McClusky (Cato Institute)McCluskey hopes that if this happens, people will demand more school choice.

"Well hopefully it will actually, if this does happen, embolden people to demand more school choice, because there are a lot of people who won't want a single standard imposed on their kids in public schools," he points out. "And if that's what they are going to get, they'll say, 'Well, I want another option, and I don't want my tax dollars to have to go to a system that not only doesn't the local board control, the state doesn't control, but the federal government controls it.'"

The Constitution does not give the federal government any control over education, according to McCluskey.

Something To Ponder, As We Look Yonder, And Really Wonder

DIVORCE AGREEMENT

THIS IS SO INCREDIBLY WELL PUT AND I CAN HARDLY BELIEVE IT'S BY A YOUNG PERSON, A STUDENT!!! WHATEVER HE RUNS FOR, I'LL VOTE FOR HIM.
OUTSTANDING.

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists, Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU, and abortion clinics. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell...

We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks, and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N., but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.

We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you ANWAR which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Sincerely,

John J. Wall
Law Student and an American

P.S. Also, please take Barbara Streisand and Jane Fonda with you

Subject: A Message From The Boss

To All My Valued Employees,

There have been some rumblings around the office about the future of this
company, and more specifically, your job. As you know, the economy has
changed for the worse and presents many challenges. However, the good
news is this: The economy doesn't pose a threat to your job. What does
threaten your job however, is the changing political landscape in this
country.
However, let me tell you some little tidbits of fact which might help you
decide what is in your best interests.

First, while it is easy to spew rhetoric that casts employers against
employees, you have to understand that for every business owner there
is a Back Story. This back story is often neglected and overshadowed
by what you see and hear. Sure, you see me park my Mercedes outside.
You've seen my big home at last yearʼs Christmas party. I'm sure; all
these flashy icons of luxury conjure up some idealized thoughts about
my life.

However, what you don't see is the BACK STORY:

I started this company 28 years ago. At that time, I lived in a 300 square
foot studio apartment for 3 years. My entire living apartment was
converted into an office so I could put forth 100% effort into building a
company, which by the way, would eventually employ you.

My diet consisted of Ramen Pride noodles because every dollar I spent
went back into this company. I drove a rusty Toyota Corolla with a
defective transmission. I didn't have time to date. Often times, I stayed
home on weekends, while my friends went out drinking and partying.
In fact, I was married to my business -- hard work, discipline, and
sacrifice.

Meanwhile, my friends got jobs. They worked 40 hours a week and made
a modest $50K a year and spent every dime they earned. They drove
flashy cars and lived in expensive homes and wore fancy designer
clothes. Instead of hitting the Nordstrom's for the latest hot fashion
item, I was trolling through the discount store extracting any clothing
item that didn't look like it was birthed in the 70's. My friends refinanced
their mortgages and lived a life of luxury. I, however, did not. I put my
time, my money, and my life into a business with a vision that eventually,
some day, I too, will be able to afford these luxuries my friends
supposedly had.

So, while you physically arrive at the office at 9am, mentally check in at
about noon, and then leave at 5pm, I don't. There is no "off" button for
me. When you leave the office, you are done and you have a weekend
all to yourself. I unfortunately do not have the freedom. I eat, and breathe
this company every minute of the day. There is no rest. There is no
weekend. There is no happy hour. Every day this business is attached
to my hip like a 1 year old special-needs child. You, of course, only see
the fruits of that garden -- the nice house, the Mercedes, the vacations...
you never realize the Back Story and the sacrifices I've made.

Now, the economy is falling apart and I, the guy that made all the right
decisions and saved his money, have to bail-out all the people who
didn't. The people that overspent their paychecks suddenly feel entitled
to the same luxuries that I earned and sacrificed a decade of my life for.

Yes, business ownership has is benefits but the price I've paid is steep
and not without wounds.

Unfortunately, the cost of running this business, and employing you,
is starting to eclipse the threshold of marginal benefit and let me tell
you why:

I am being taxed to death and the government thinks I don't pay enough. I
have state taxes. Federal taxes. Property taxes. Sales and use taxes.
Payroll taxes. Workers compensation taxes. Unemployment taxes. Taxes
on taxes. I have to hire a tax man to manage all these taxes and then guess
what? I have to pay taxes for employing him. Government mandates and
regulations and all the accounting that goes with it, now occupy most of
my time. On Oct 15th, I wrote a check to the US Treasury for $288,000
for quarterly taxes. You know what my "stimulus" check was? Zero..
Nada. Zilch.

The question I have is this: Who is stimulating the economy? Me, the guy
who has provided 14 people good paying jobs and serves over 2,200,000
people per year with a flourishing business? Or, the single mother sitting
at home pregnant with her fourth child waiting for her next welfare check?
Obviously, government feels the latter is the economic stimulus of this
country.

The fact is, if I deducted (Read: Stole) 50% of your paycheck you'd quit
and you wouldn't work here. I mean, why should you? That's nuts. Who
wants to get rewarded only 50% of their hard work? Well, I agree which
is why your job is in jeopardy.

Here is what many of you don't understand ... to stimulate the economy
you need to stimulate what runs the economy. Had suddenly government
mandated to me that I didn't need to pay taxes, guess what? Instead of
depositing that $288,000 into the Washington black-hole, I would have
spent it, hired more employees, and generated substantial economic
growth. My employees would have enjoyed the wealth of that tax cut
in the form of promotions and better salaries. But you can forget it
now.

When you have a comatose man on the verge of death, you don't
defibrillate and shock his thumb thinking that will bring him back to life,
do you? Or, do you defibrillate his heart? Business is at the heart of
America and always has been. To restart it, you must stimulate it, not
kill it. Suddenly, the power brokers in Washington believe the poor of
America are the essential drivers of the American economic engine.
Nothing could be further from the truth and this is the type of change
you can keep.

So where am I going with all this?

It's quite simple.

If any new taxes are levied on me, or my company, my reaction will be
swift and simple. I'll fire you. I'll fire your co-workers. You can then
plead with the government to pay for your mortgage, your SUV, and
your child's future. Frankly, it isn't my problem any more.

Then, I will close this company down, move to another country, and
retire. You see, I'm done. I'm done with a country that penalizes the
productive and gives to the unproductive. My motivation to work and
to provide jobs will be destroyed, and with it, will be my citizenship.

So, if you lose your job, it won't be at the hands of the economy; it
will be at the hands of a political hurricane that swept through this
country, steamrolled the constitution, and will have changed its
landscape forever. If that happens, you can find me sitting on a
beach, retired, and with no employees to worry about....

Signed, THE BOSS

American capitalism gone with a whimper . . . . .

This article is for your information. Please read.

Note from Don Wildmon: For years I have refused to use words such as Marxism, socialism or similar words when describing our current situation. However, it is time to call a spade a spade, regardless of how those who oppose us label us. Rome is burning. The article below was written by Stanislav Mishin, a blogger and columnist for the Russian newspaper Pravda.

American capitalism gone with a whimper . . . . .

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists
.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather than the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas than the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us (Russia) about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blinds the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different
"branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox (Russian Orthodox) churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more than another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more than ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of
American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride
.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his
Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

Census Workers Marking GPS Coordinates
of U.S. Homes

By Bob Livingston • Jun 19th, 2009 • Category: Alternative Medicine, Bob Livingston, Civil Liberty, FreedomConcerns, Personal Liberty Articles, Privacy, Privacy Alerts

The United States Constitution calls for an enumeration (census) to be taken every 10 years to determine the number of representatives each state will send to Congress. The next one is set to begin on April 1, 2010.

But census workers are already on the streets of America, and they’re doing more than just seeking the number of people in each household. They’re tasked with marking the Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates of every house in America.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau website, “This GPS technology allows us to reduce the amount of time spent by census workers in locating addresses while increasing productivity. Most importantly, by adding a GPS coordinate to each housing unit, the Census Bureau is able to ensure that residents are counted in the right location. This is important as the data are used to apportion congressional representation and used to draw redistricting lines.”

Oil,,,,This Should Tick You Off

do you think a Democrat will say a thing???
do you think a Republican will say a thing???

The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April ('08) that only scientists and oil men knew was coming, but man was it big. It was a revised report (hadn't been updated since '95) on how much oil was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota ; western South Dakota ; and extreme eastern Montana ..... check THIS out:

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska 's Prudhoe Bay , and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels.. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable. .. at $107 a barrel, we're looking at a resource base worth more than $5.3 trillion.

'When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea.' says Terry Johnson, the Montana Legislature' s financial analyst.

'This sizable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found in the past 56 years.' reports, The Pittsburgh Post Gazette. It's a formation known as the Williston Basin , but is more commonly referred to as the 'Bakken.' And it stretches from Northern Montana, through North Dakota and into Canada . For years, U. S.oil exploration has been considered a dead end. Even the 'Big Oil' companies gave up searching for major oil wells decades ago. However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakken's massive reserves.... and we now have access of up to 500 billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL!

That's enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 41 years straight.

2. And if THAT didn't throw you on the floor, then this next one should - because it's from TWO YEARS AGO!

U. S. Oil Discovery- Largest Reserve in the World!
Stansberry Report Online - 4/20/2006

Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world. It is more than 2 TRILLION barrels. On August 8, 2005President Bush mandated its extraction. In three and a half years of high oil prices none has been extracted. With this mother load of oil why are we still fighting over off-shore drilling?

They reported this stunning news: We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are the official estimates:

- 8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia
- 18-times as much oil as Iraq
- 21-times as much oil as Kuwait
- 22-times as much oil as Iran
- 500-times as much oil as Yemen
- and it's all right here in the Western United States ..

HOW can this BE? HOW can we NOT BE extracting this? Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil! Again, we are letting a small group of people dictate our lives and our economy..... WHY?

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we've got more oil in this very compact area than the entire Middle East -more than 2 TRILLION barrels untapped. That's more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in the world today, reports The Denver Post.

Don't think 'OPEC' will drop its price - even with this find? Think again! It's all about the competitive marketplace, - it has to. Think OPEC just might be funding the environmentalists?

Got your attention/ire up yet? Hope so! Now, while you're thinking about it ...... and hopefully P.O'd, do this:

3.. Pass this along. If you don't take a little time to do this, then you should stifle yourself the next time you want to complain about gas prices .. because by doing NOTHING, you've forfeited your right to complain.
--------
Now I just wonder what would happen in this country if every one of you sent this to everyone in your address
book.

By the way...this is all true.. Check it out at the link below!!!

***Reminder Town Council Meeting Airs Tonight at 7:00pm***

Tues. June 16th, 2009 town council meeting will be broadcast on local cable Channel 7 at 7:00 pm.

Is Anyone Seeing The Picture?

It just seems not right, that in this time of economic despair, (gas prices rising like the tide, home values floundering like a fish out of water, jobs disappearing like a jet's vapor trail) that Everybody needs to take a look at what their impact is to Our economy. The belt needed to be tightened quite a while ago, but to not even unbuckle it and make the attempt is like a Tall person trying to wear Midget clothing. They Just Don't Fit. Period.

So Lisbon, you might call it progress in the local budget on the Town side. But in reality it is a 'set up' for disastrous results next year. Yes, the Police budget was reduced some, but no positions were eliminated. SO what do you think next year will bring? Do you think a trunk full of money will get caught in the Worumbo Dam labeled "For the Lisbon Taxpayers"?

Take a look around you and try to understand that this so called "Change" the we all heard so much about on the campaign trail last year, has been just that, a change that will affect us all for a long time to come. But immediately it is hitting us all hard in the wallet.

Follow a couple of stories in other Maine towns by clicking on these links.

Portland Press Herald article about Retirement Incentives for Teachers.

WCSH6 article about Ogunquit Cutting Police Force.

Kennebec Journal article about Monmouth's Police Budget.

We all know that our Lisbon Police Budget is loaded with cutting options. But they didn't get the axe and now we as taxpayers have to pay for another year.

The school's budget, on the other hand is fair game. Get out, Get involved, Get heard.

At this time We would like to congratulate Lisbon Police Officers Darin Estes and Ryan McGee for their trained reaction in performing CPR on a local resident that was suffering a heart attack.
These two men were recently honored for their efforts by the Maine Heart Association.
We would be glad to post more about this with photos if someone would be kind enough to send them in.

Here In America, In God We Still Trust

In God We Still Trust" sung by Diamond Rio

Lyrics:
You place your hand on His bible, when you swear to tell the truth.
His name is on our greatest monuments an' all our money too.
An' when we pledge allegiance, there's no doubt where we stand:
There's no separation, we're one nation under Him.

In God, We Still Trust,
Here in America,
He's the one we turn to every time the going gets rough.
He is the source of all our strength,
The one who watches over us.
Here in America, in God, we still trust.

Now there are those among us,
Who wanna push Him out.
And erase his name from everything,
This country's all about.
From the schoolhouse to the courthouse,
They're silencing His word,
An' now it's time for all believers,
To make our voices heard.

In God, We Still Trust,
here in America,
He's the one we turn to every time the goin' gets rough.
He is the source of all our strength, the one who watches over us.
Here in America, in God, we still trust.
Here in America,
Here in America,
Here in America, in God, we still trust.
Here in America, in God, we still trust.
Here in America.

A Lisbon Concerned Citizen Blasts The Town Council

FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH
Following are e-mails between Mr. Mike Bowie and me.

Dale Crafts called me, I did not expect calls or responses. I was/am just venting my feelings and concerns. If Mr. Bowie thinks The Lisbon Reporter is just a bunch of nonsense, he must be skipping over the great stuff, like the Dancing Policeman, The Letter from God, The Rainbow Bridge.

Did Mr. Bowie cry when he watched the video, How Could You? Did he even bother to watch it? I still have tears in my eyes, I have lost "special friends" and remember them fondly.

Everything on The Lisbon Reporter is checked and double checked for facts before printed.

Subject: Notices

Regarding notices not e-mailed to all Town Council members: Evidently it is 'business as usual" at Lisbon Town Office. What part of no transparency in government do you not understand? How would any of you Council members like it if you were left out of information that should be available to all? THIS IS NOT RIGHT! THERE NEEDS TO BE TRANSPARENCY IN GOVERNMENT, NOT JUST ON THE FEDERAL LEVEL AND THE STATE LEVEL, BUT ESPECIALLY ON THE TOWN LEVEL! There should be no favoritism in government, notices sent out to just a favored few. Perhaps it is time for the Ethics Committee to step up, ask questions and get answers. What council members are willing to, dare to, step up and do the right thing, to get the Ethics Committee involved? What is going on in our town is NOT RIGHT. This problem needs to be addressed at the next Town Council meeting. Just who is running our Town Office? I'm willing to bet it's not Mr. Eldridge.

Dot,

I am sorry you are misinformed. I DO checked my town email every day and I have never received any emails from you.

You may use either address. I believe the problem is related to a training issue with certain councilors as I have never had a problem getting my email.

I wish the Lisbon Reporter would post accurate information.

Regards,

Michael Bowie

Mr. Mike Bowie;
This is the first ever e-mail I have sent to you. In my e-mail to all Councilors, I am referring to e-mails sent by Town Manager or his staff. Evidently your e-mail posted in the Lisbon Reporter is correct as you received it on my first try. Evidently some e-mails go to only preferred councilors, not to all. Such as the message from the Water Department that was not forwarded to all Councilors. Mike Cote was reprimanded by Eldridge for the remarks he made during the Audience participartation at the June 2, 2009 Town Council meeting, yet at a February meeting, you and Eldridge allowed Police Chief Brooks an hour-long unfounded tirade against a Council member. All the while Mr. Cote was speaking, Mr. Eldridge had his head and eyes downcast, would not look at him, and you looked daggers at him. Why? It would appear that you and Eldridge would like him to be gone from town office, the same as Jerry Samson. It will all come out in the open some day. Unfairness in Town Office and with Council members is not right, and should not be tolerated. But it will be "business as usual" as long as you and Eldridge are in charge.

As to The Lisbon Reporter, there is so much good that is printed: i.e. a complete list of all businesses in town, pay of town employees when town office did not print it in the 2008 Town Report. I could go on and on, but why bother when some, like you and Eldridge see only what you want to see. Many in town do have their eyes and ears open, to all, the good and the bad. Evidently e-mails to Ms. Wells are not being forwarded. The one I sent to her was not received, and I sent it twice. That's fine. I'm sure she will know about it. She is on your "good guy" list. She agrees with you and Eldridge on just about everything. I'm sorry if I sound bitter, but I do not like what is going on at Town Office; employees spying on each other, morale at an all time-low, and not just about pay freeze. All one has to do is walk in and notice while being waited on, or is it just me they are afraid to talk to, have been told not to talk to?

Mike Bowie's response to my e-mail to all councilors, and my response back.
Thought you all should have a copy as Mr. Bowie has forwarded them to Eldridge. I want everything out in the open, available to all Councilors.

Wow What A Family Night!

Wow What A Family Night!

By Paula Caron,
PWS 7th Grade Newspaper Staff

What a wonderful turnout for the first Lisbon Family Movie Night at Flagship Cinema in Auburn.
On Thursday, May 28, over 60 people from the Lisbon community supported this
great partnership. The free movie night provided an evening out for Lisbon
students and their families.
In this day and age, what a wonderful thing!
The movie was at no charge and the movie series is scheduled to run throughout the
summer and the school year.
The next movie night featuring, Hotel for Dogs, rated PG,
staring Emma Rovers and Jack T. Austin, is scheduled for this Thursday, June 18, at 6 p.m.

Mark your calendars for July 16, and August 20, for the next summer Family Movie Nights.

Movie titles will be announced before the night of the show. "I enjoyed the movie and had fun,"
shared Lisbon student, Alex Couillard.

"The Lisbon Family Movie Night is a great thing. Our family can
enjoy a movie out together," commented Lisbon parent and community
volunteer, Lisa Caron.

After the show, a number of Lisbon parents commented how much they enjoyed the evening and
thanked Flagship Cinemas for offering an opportunity for all ages to enjoy as a
family night. FYI email mmillhime@union30.org or call 754-0021.
