Community Supports Lisbon High School Senior Exhibitions

Lisbon – On Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20, once again, a community partner for Lisbon High School came through with assistance for students. The local Food City in Lisbon provided the luncheon feast and other delicacies during the two-day Senior Exhibition program. This year’s event marks the fifth year of assistance from Food City.

Senior Exhibitions are a graduation requirement at Lisbon High School. Senior students are required to embark on a research journey on a particular topic or future career path of interest. A research paper, in addition to securing a mentor for 15-hours of physical interaction time is also required to connect and write a research paper. In preparation for the third phase of Senior Exhibitions, seniors compile a Judge’s Notebook. The student notebook ties all the “ends together” about the experience with the process. Notebooks include a personal letter about themselves, a letter to the judges, an overview and self-evaluation of their project, and a synopsis of their paper.

We would like to thank our prestigious panel of judges from around the state, local and community partners, the Lisbon School Committee Members, Lisbon School Department Administration, Teachers, Staff and Community Volunteers for participating in the third phase of the Senior Exhibitions at Lisbon High School. The presence of these stakeholders in education provided a unique opportunity for our seniors to experience a process that works to strengthen their skills.
