Lisbon – On Thursday, March 12, 2009, Principal Rick Green of Philip W. Sugg Middle School (PWS) in Lisbon announced the second quarter Student Achievement Awards. The second of four awards for the year, this quarter honors a sixth, seventh and eight grade student. Principal Green congratulated Paige Hussey, grade 8; , Molly Nicholson, grade 6; and Stefan Smith, grade 7; for their outstanding achievements.

“Molly Nicholson is the daughter of Christine and Daniel Nicholson of Lisbon Falls. “Molly is a breath of fresh air. She is energetic and smart. Molly is hardworking at school and on the playing field,” shares Green. “She is a well-rounded individual and a pleasure to have in class.”

“Stefan Smith is the son of Leslie Stewart of Lisbon Falls,” according to Green. “Stefan is very polite and helpful to peers-willing to work with anyone he is paired with and offers help without being asked. He is a hard worker, always asking questions and wanting to get the highest grade possible on assignments,” shares Green. “Stefan is a positive role model and very respectful to anyone he comes in contact with throughout the day. He is a student council representative and is truly a unique child offering so much to the middle school atmosphere, standing out among his peers.”

“Paige Hussey is the daughter of Marilyn Hussey of Lisbon,” shares Green. “Paige works consistently as the president of student council and within the classroom at doing things that support PWS. She is consistent with student council reports, helping out in the classroom, and being genuine and kind with her classmates,” according to Green. “Through her conversations with her classmates it is clear Paige works hard at being a leader for the eighth grade class.”
