Fire Department Gets A Thank You

Make sure you notify the fire department before "bombing" you home!

Catchy title huh? Well, we would like to personally recognize and thank our local firefighters who responded to our home last night for what thankfully was a true "false" alarm. From the time they were called by our home security company and the time they showed at our home, their arrival was literally less than 5 minutes from being called. What a response!!! KUDOS !!!!

The issue was that our home security system through ADT was alerted via our smoke detectors that a fire appeared to be present in our home. Lucky for us there wasn't. We actually set off foggers or bombs to rid our home of pesky critters who have come to visit with all of this RAIN! Spiders, ants, etc. The issue was that the foggers didn't indicate on the box that the particles would be enough to set off our fire alarm nor did ADT realize it would when they were called.

We felt awful that these dedicated folks had to leave from what they were doing to come to our home unnecessarily however, it was great to know that if there was a true emergency, they are there and they come quickly! They were good sports about it however, we were and still are very sorry that it was a waste of their time. These folks are dedicated firefighters who are here to serve and protect and should be commended for their dedication and all that they do to help keep our town safe.
