LISBON — Lisbon librarians Diane Nadeau and Jo-Jean Keller are summoning their sunscreen and lawn chairs after an intense six-week summer reading program at Lisbon Falls Community Library. Instead of a day off, however, these women are headed next door to spend a day on the roof of the Lisbon Falls Fire Department. The pair has promised to sit on the rooftop if children can read more than the total number of books read during last year’s summer reading program. With 193 participants and 76 more than last year, they are preparing themselves for the possibility, even hoping for it, if it means children read more."
