Since shortly after 9/11, as a United Airlines B-777 captain flying out of New York City, I became aware of gross lapses in aviation safety and security while United Airlines was in chapter 11 bankruptcy. In consonance with federal laws, I attempted to report these issues via appropriate channels and lost my job after 35 years as a pilot.
Subsequently, I discovered other violations of federal law associated with the bankruptcy process and have spent the past three years attempting to report these issues to all levels and branches of government and law enforcement to no avail.
