Lisbon's PWS Elliot Warren Award Announced‏

Philip W. Sugg Principal, Jeff Ramich congratulates Elliot M. Lisbon – On Thursday, April 8 at Philip W. Sugg Middle School in Lisbon, Principal Jeff Ramich, announced sixth grade student, Adrianna White, seventh grade student, Jack Caron, and eighth grade student Brandon Hess, as the recipients the 2010 Elliot M. Warren Citizenship Award. 

“Elliot Warren was an exemplary young man who attended Lisbon Public School until his untimely death in November 1999,” shared Ramich.  “Elliot’s strength and courage is remembered by all who came in contact with him.  The award is a tribute to Elliot and the fine citizen he was.”

The award is presented to outstanding citizen from each grade; nominated by students and chosen by each grade level team.  “At Philip W. Sugg Middle School, we recognize students for their citizenship through this award,” commented Ramich.

“Students are recognized in the following areas:  Caring, polite and helpfuldemonstrating a genuine concern for other students and staff; demonstrating good manners in class and all around the school; and providing assistance to students and staff.  Hard-working, resourcefulness and respect:  Students demonstrate effort in completing classwork and homework; and demonstrate respect toward students and staff,” shares Ramich.

“The process for selection of the recipients is two-fold,” according to Ramich, fellow students and teachers offer nominations.”
