Lisbon – Community Service Club (CSC) members of
Lisbon High School welcomed visiting Lewiston Rotarian, Bill Denehy
during their monthly meeting on Wednesday, February 9. Denehy’s shared
the history of Rotary, and the Service Club for students ages 14 to 18,
the Interact Club. Students, along with CSC advisor, Monica Millhime
and guidance counselor, Jean Dolan, were pleased to hear about the
on-going opportunities available to students through Interact. “We
currently have close to 100 students in our Community Service Club in
Lisbon,” shares Millhime. “Students volunteer in our schools and
throughout our community. Their efforts strengthen their team building
and leadership skills with each area of assistance they embark upon as a
club, or an individual team member. An association with the Lewiston
Rotary Fellowship offers our students another opportunity to enhance
their skills and reach beyond our current levels of assistance.”
Students will be discussing the Interact program guidelines, structure,
service projects and more at the next monthly meeting on March 16.
