We know this is a terrible looking agenda compared to one's in the past. We use to receive the agendas from the town office but for some reason Eldridge has cut us off. We really wonder why he would do such a thing unless he has lots to hide and cover up. And you know longer can copy them off the Town website. Hmmmm?????
Another note, ever notice how nice, clear, and loud the school committee meetings are when viewed on Great Falls TV online, but the Town Council has low, or no voice, technical difficulties more than should be allowed? We at TLR are under the assumption that the camera operator does both meeting filming's, but perhaps at the Town Council meetings the little gremlins monkey around in the room next door with the audio settings purposefully so that the taxpayer's sitting at home watching don't have a clue as to what is happening. Come out to one personally and witness the show.
We sincerely apologize for this pathetic agenda but it is out of our control. You may just have to visit the Town website to view a better version or try and print this one.
Ahhh,,, Lisbon, such "a great place to live and do business"

This is typical stratergy for the town manager and the council. They want to keep the people in the dark about what they are doing. This way they do not have to answer any questions until it is too late for anything to be done about it. This has been going on since Eldridge became the town manager and will continue until he leaves. The last two years they have raised our taxes when there was no reason except to pay for Brook's Communication Center. The Communication Center is a duplication costing the taxpayers over $500,000 yearly. If the town was to use the Androscoggin County Dispatch center, it would quicker response time and cost way less. They do not want you to know this.
Larry,
I am unsure of what "strategy" you might be referring to, however I have no difficulty in downloading agenda and enclosures as one 54 page document. I prefer to view and comment on the documents on my iPad rather than deal with paper copies. If you are having difficulties in accessing any files on the town web page I would urge you to contact the town clerk for assistance like I did.
Had you asked, she could have told you the easiest way to download the documents is via the searchable database where you can access the entire package as a single PDF document.
To make it easy, here is a shortcut to the page page:
http://clerkshq.com/default.ashx?clientsite=lisbon-me
Click on the options under "Browse" and once you open the current agenda there are the following options:"Download as Pdf Print Advanced Search Help"

Gregg, thanks for this outstanding information. It would have been so "professional" to
have this notated some place on the agenda page, visible for viewers and in the email the town sends out to those on their email list. Have you just disclosed another secret that only 'councilors' were aware of?
Come on, we are all in this together and need to keep the people better informed.
Speaking of which, is it True that Lisbon Town Manager, Stephen G. Eldridge is working without a contract? Is their some "Hope for Change" in leadership?
Thanks again Gregg.
No this is not some great secret, it is annotated on the "Agenda & Attachments" and the "Agenda & Council Minutes" web pages where you have two choices:
1. Current Agenda
Links to attachements are provided within this document.
2. Searchable 2012 to Present Minutes & Attachments
If you choose #1 you have the agenda and can look at or download all of the attachments. Because of the way it is set up you cannot download the actual agenda page from here.
Note: I will be emailing the town clerk about the misspelling of "attachments" and request deletion the duplication of pages offering the same information and avoid confusion.
If you choose #2 you can go to ANY weeks agenda and download the agenda and all attachments.
No, to the best of my knowledge the Town Manager is not working without a contract.
Gregg
