Upcoming Vote
I am planning on printing this and putting it on my front yard. Would you post this to the Lisbon Reporter?
I'm voting no on 1 for the simple fact that the proposal is ridiculous and overkill for what is needed in this town. WE ARE NOT TOPSHAM, NOR BRUNSWICK, NOR FREEPORT. We don't have the commercial infrastructure they do, with that, the tax base. $1.6 million public works building is not what we NEED. We NEED a track. We NEED a GYM. We don't NEED and hastily conceived monstrosity. We could lease where they are now for 15+ years for the cost of what the insurance replacement cost is/was. The return on investment--which everyone claims is key--for the two school questions is great. The ROI for the public works? Not so much.
Have you driven on past Hannaford and seen all the new businesses? Those taxes are paying for Topsham's Taj Mahal. That's why we need a qualified and aggressive Redevelopment Director here in Lisbon. Not one to head up the Moxie Festival.

Can we have a Taj Mahal like Topsham? It is free for Topsham=is being paid for by bond @@
