The following is a recap of
last night’s Town Council meeting.
Under Council Orders,
Resolutions, & Ordinances:
1.
FY17 School Budget Presentation – Mrs. Traci
Austin provided the initial FY 17
School Budget. The Council offered some
suggestions to include a joint workshop.
2.
Re-Consider
Police Officer Position – The Town Manager asked the Council for guidance on
the Police Officer Position. The Council
directed the Town Manager to include it in the Municipal budget for FY17.
3.
Itinerant Vendor
Ordinance & Fee Schedule Amendment (2nd Reading) – The Council
approved the 2nd reading by a vote of 7-0.
4.
Park Regulations
Ordinance Amendment (Second Reading) – The Council approved the 2nd
reading by a vote of 7-0.
5.
Repeal Ch. 2
Article IV Division 10 Trail Commission (Second Reading) – The Council approved
the 2nd reading by a vote of 7-0.
6.
CDBG
Micro-Enterprise Assistance Program – The Council approved for the Town Manager
to sign the grant application by a vote of 7-0.
7.
ACO Fines and
Fees – It appears these funds have been put in the wrong account so the Council
voted to correct this problem and put the funds under the ACO. The amount is $10,293.47 and was approved by
a vote of 7-0.
8.
ACO Truck
Purchase – The Council approved by a vote of 7-0 to purchase a new vehicle for
the ACO. The town of Sabattus will
contribute 28% toward the vehicle.
