When President Obama was first elected, the nation hoped and many presumed that race relations would improve.
After all, the country had elected its first African-American president.
But after eight years of Obama, we have come to expect to see racism all around us.
Some African-Americans and some liberals see it in nearly every police officer.
College campuses across the nation are trying to help the rest of the nation recognize when we are experiencing privilege and when others are not.
