Due to weather conditions, Lisbon Connection will be stopping service today after the bus arrives back in Lisbon at 12:46 pm.

The Lisbon Town Office, Transfer Station, Library, and MTM Center will close at noon due to inclement weather March 13, 2018. Only essential staff will be available for the Lisbon Police Department during the storm. Should you lose power during the storm please note that the Lisbon Police Department is available as a warming facility.

LISBON PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE - CDBG DR GRANT

Public Hearing Notice - CDBG DR Grant

The Town of Lisbon will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lisbon Town Office, 300 Lisbon Street, Lisbon to discuss an application being submitted to the State of Maine CDBG program for a Downtown Revitalization Grant Program. The purpose of the grant application is to fund priority, pedestrian and streetscape improvements in Lisbon Village area as recommended in the Lisbon Downtown and Rt. 196 Plans. Public comments will be solicited at this Hearing and will be submitted as part of the application. All persons wishing to make comments or ask questions about the grant application are invited to attend this Public Hearing. Comments may be submitted in writing to: Tracey Steuber, Economic & Community Development Director, Town of Lisbon, 300 Lisbon Street, Lisbon, Maine 04250 at any time prior to the Public Hearing. TDD/TTY users may call 711. If you are physically unable to access any of the Town’s programs or services, please call Tracey Steuber at 207-353-3000 ext. 122 so that accommodations can be made.

Update on David Street Water Main Break

Water service will be restored on David Street by 10:00 AM. The water main had a circumferential crack which is identical to the break on Crest Avenue yesterday. As the business office is closed today, please let us know if you have any water quality issues by calling the Lisbon Police Dept. at 353-2500 and a water technician will contact you ASAP.

Water Main Break David Street, Lisbon Falls

Lisbon Water Department has responded to a water main break on David Street in Lisbon Falls. Department staff is working to shut the main down at the time of this posting. We anticipate that the emergency water service interruption on David Street to last 8 hours. Repair crews and equipment are mobilizing to the site at this time. We will update the project status when we have the water line exposed.

LISBON CREST AVENUE MAIN BREAK UPDATE

Crest Avenue Main Break Update

Water service has been restored on Crest Avenue. However, we are still onsite backfilling the excavation. Please let us know if you have any water quality issues. The water main had a circumferential break which typically occurs due to earth movement. These type of breaks happen most frequently as the earth freezes and thaws.

The water main has failed on Crest Avenue in Lisbon. This leak will require an immediate shutdown of the water main. We anticipate that the damaged main will require 8 hours to repair.
