In Spain , at Seville some local people found a way to stop the construction of another mosque in their town. They buried a pig on the site, making sure this would be known by the local press.
C.C BondermannIslamic rules forbid erecting a Mosque on "pig soiled ground". The Muslims had to cancel the project...this land had been sold to them by government officials... No protests were needed by the local people .... and it worked!!
Not dummies. the Spaniards. They found a solution !!! No protests needed!
Once upon a time there was a Miss MOXIE contest held at the high school. It had great participation? Why did it it stop ? NOT PC? If some other cities and counties in Maine still Miss POTATO etc. contest WHY NOT US? Was this a fun time for Lisbon? Why does everything become sterile?? Have a Mr. Moxie contest or a gender-free contest if it has to be PC? Responses PLEASE!!!!

Police officials statewide say some sheriffs' offices in Massachusetts, especially those in Middlesex and Bristol counties, have expanded their purview to law-enforcement activities that overstep their mission.
In Middlesex County, the sheriff's office has been criticized for its purchases of a mobile training center and armored ballistics vehicle to buttress its law-enforcement capabilities through federal grants. Meanwhile, Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson has irked police officials in Fall River and New Bedford for sending some of his men to those cities to help stem crime.Wayne Sampson, executive director of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association, said the state's 14 sheriffs offices should primarily monitor the jails they oversee.
"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it." -- Dr. Adrian Rogers (1913-2005)

Note: I posted this video before knowing who the real author of the poem was. Michael Marks wrote the poem (not LCDR Jeff Giles)! An email of the poem I received, originated from an email sent by LCDR Jeff Giles. Thank you LCDR Jeff Giles for sharing the email with us.
Corporate fascism has been described as a marriage between big corporations and the government. Are Maine's Senators serving the people or the banking and corporate interests?

LISBON FALLS — When the Rick & Abbey Morning Wake Up Show debuts Wednesday, a mix of oldies and friendly, funny banter, hosts Rick and Gwen Rioux will be behind their desks in finance and billing at Central Maine Medical Center, all business.
They’re recording material and working it around tunes the night before. Everyone at WQRY 106 does, not that listeners can tell.
The station was born six months ago after friends and former disc jockeys Rick Rioux and Dan Philbrick agreed they both missed radio, then realized they didn’t have to.
Not with the power of the Internet.
