GOPDD: Video: Muslim Woman Wears Head-bag Resembling American Flag on Fox News and She’s Republican

When I first saw this video, I wasn’t sure what to feel. Mostly I felt offended. I understand she isn’t wearing an actual flag, but after 9/11 and all the terrorist attacks that have occurred, it strikes me as being done in very bad taste. Saba Ahmed went viral because she wore a hijab on Fox News fashioned to resemble an American flag. She was discussing the issue of radicalized mosques and arguing the fact that you should not shut them down because a terrorist belonged to or founded one. Yes, you should. Katrina Piarson strongly agrees with me and took exception to Ahmed’s protestations. If a mosque has terrorist ties, it should be investigated and if the leaders or a preponderance of members are terrorist connected, that mosque should be shut down. The authorities would do that to other churches as Pearson points out. Mosques should not get special treatment, in fact, they should be scrutinized much more because they are a magnet for Islamic radicals and terrorists.

Breitbart The banner ads bear tag lines like, “Support freedom, not fear,” and, “America is better when we welcome refugees.” They lead to a microsite located at Americaisbetter.org with Old Glory-clothed, American flag-waving young people, with a light-skinned blonde leading the way for others who appear to be ethnic minorities partially or fully obscured behind her.

GOPDD: Heartwarming Video: More than 1,000 people show up for funeral of veteran with no family

No one should die alone. Especially someone who served and fought for his country. More than 1,000 people showed up at the funeral of a military veteran who had no family in Indianapolis. Men saluted him as he laid at rest and people gathered to honor his memory. It was standing room only at the solemn event and Billy Aldridge was given a dignified and eloquent funeral by people who really care. Billy C. Aldridge, a U.S. Marine Corp veteran, died at a local nursing facility on Oct. 14 at the age of 80. The nursing home had no records of any family, but those who attended said he had one on Tuesday. “He served our country and gave us the freedoms that we have and the privileges that we have today,” said Patrice Gehring who attended the funeral. Yes he did… and in the end all of these people were there for Billy. He was not alone after all.

But, there is something to be said about our media and violence.

President Barack Obama’s Department of Veterans Affairs has banned employees at its facility in Salem, Virginia, from saying “Merry Christmas” to veterans.

According to WSLS10:

The “Executive Leadership Team” at the Salem VA Medical Center banned Christmas trees, as well as other Christian speech and celebrations.

TRANSFER STATION STUDY RESULTS

On Tuesday night, the Town Council conducted a workshop to hear the results of the Transfer Station Committee Study. This Study was compiled and presented by Lisa Ward and Ryan Leighton. Below are the results of study:

According to the figures presented, it is possible to save $63,582.76 by going to a combination of curbside pick-up and Pay-As-You-Throw. On the surface this may appear as a significant saving for the town but we need to take a closer look.

As far as I am concerned the Transfer Station is, without a doubt, the most efficient department in the town. The Transfer Station provides a variety of services for the community. I have a hard time explaining what to call tires, scrap metal, broken washing machine, dryers, TV’s, and refrigerators, also, wood, leaves, branches and other derbies. These items are the responsibility of the resident and our Transfer Station takes care of these addition items for us.

According to the study, they are NOT included. Can you see putting a refrigerator in a bag or left on the curb to be disposed of? When Lisa Ward and Ryan Leighton were asked about these items, we were told the resident has to make arrangements and pay an additional fee to either Topsham or Auburn. Topsham or Auburn is the two closest sites to dispose of these materials.

I have heard many people ask the question, “If it is not broke then don’t fix it.” I personally think the Town Council should disband this committee and move on to something else in this town to fix. The Transfer Station has excellent people providing a superior service to this community. There is no saving when you add in these additional costs.

There is no cost savings here; so move on!!!!!

I agree with Mr. Fillmore, the will of the people is not being followed in Lisbon. Another fine example of this is the proposed "pay per bag" system that was recently brought up again at a recent Council Workshop.

I was under the impression Lisbon had already examined and rejected this system but it looks like those in favor of "Pay Per Bag" are trying again to ram it down our throats. How many times do we have to tell our leaders that we don't want a new trash system? The recycling center works well and doesn't need to replaced with something that will cost us more money and be less convenient.

The studies clearly state that when a town institutes this system the total amount of trash collected goes down. As we all know the trash has to go somewhere and most of that lost trash ends up either burnt in trash barrels, thrown in illegal roadside dumps, or buried or stored on the property of those that can't afford the extra money for trash bags.

The trash/recycling center is one of the Town's departments that actually works well. The recycling returns money to partially pay for our trash removal .

Lets not screw up something that works.

This is a wonderful story and it is incredibly moving. Elizabeth Laird is 83 years-old. She is known as the “Hug Lady” because she goes to Fort Hood and hugs the soldiers as they leave and then returns to hug them when they come back. She’s been doing that for 12 years. No one knew that 11 years ago, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and has been fighting it ever since. One day, Elizabeth wasn’t there to hug others. So, the military hunted her down. Soldiers are continuously going to her bedside now to return some of the hugs she has selflessly given for years. It’s incredible.

ISIS is threatening the White House now after earlier threats this week against DC and Times Square. If I were Obama, I think I would pay attention. They promised that Paris was the ‘Front of the Storm’ and that a wave of attacks would be forthcoming. These demons usually mean what they say. Despite the blatant and earnest threats from ISIS, Obama is doubling and tripling down on bringing Syrian refugees to the US. Refugees that surely have ISIS terrorists in their midst. We are already seeing some of the fruits of what Obama is sowing. 8 ISIS members coming out of Honduras and trying to cross into the US through Texas with Syrian passports were apprehended yesterday. A highly trusted federal agent working under the umbrella of US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has confirmed to Breitbart Texas that a group composed of 5 Pakistani men and 1 man from Afghanistan was captured by US Border Patrol agents after having illegally crossed the porous US-Mexico border in the Tucson Sector of Arizona. And 5 unidentified Middle Eastern men were just detained in Ohio. Do the math.

Then on Monday Feinstein then went on MSNBC to tell the nation that not only was President Obama’s strategy insufficient, he is completely WRONG about ISIS being contained.

Fox News’s the Kelly File welcomed a special guest to the show earlier this week when host Megyn Kelly interviewed a former member of Al Qaeda who became an important CIA double-agent about the recent terror attacks in Europe.

Morten Storm was a Muslim jihadist who was an important member in the upper ranks of al Qaeda just a few short years ago. Storm eventually changed his allegiance and began working with the CIA against al Qaeda and was a very important asset for the agency in their work against Islamic terrorism.

Storm appeared on the show to discuss why it is that he believes the USA will see a similar style attack from ISIS at some point in the next two weeks.

Comparing Clinton to leaders like Giuliani, Pataki and George W. Bush, Golub reminded his readers that Clinton’s contributions to our nation can be summed up in three words; “She did Nothing.”

Rudy ‪#‎Giuliani, George ‪#‎Pataki & George W. Bush led on 9/11.‪#‎HillaryClinton was a bystander. She did nothing.

Her entire existence is a lie. She was in NY on 9/11. So was my family. Big deal. I was in Los Angeles the day of the 1994 Earthquake. It doesn't mean I rebuilt the city. Pete Wilson did.

Hillary has zero life accomplishments, so she just makes stuff up.

Next she will tell us how she cradled MLK in her arms while dodging sniper fire from Sir Edmund Hillary while leading the fight for gay marriage as First Lady of Arkansas.

EAGLE RISING: Is Black Lives Matter Really That Stupid? Or Do They Have Another Agenda?

Black Lives Matter claims to want to help black Americans. Logically, like Martin Luther King Jr. they would be trying to persuade others of the justice of their claims. This is not what they are doing. For starters, on its official site, the Black Lives Matter states that “Black Lives Matter is an ideological and political intervention in a world where Black lives are systematically and intentionally targeted for demise.” Wow, systematically and intentionally targeted, seriously? I’d like to know what reality they are living in. A parallel universe, perhaps? They spread the belief that white privilege is the root cause of all the problems plaguing African Americans. They say that American society is inherently racist, in spite of the election and subsequent reelection of President Obama. They maintain that the police are targeting African Americans simply because of race, in spite of the fact that many of the police officers they accuse are African Americans or other minorities themselves.

Under its principal of “Restorative Justice,” Black Lives claims, “We are committed to collectively, lovingly and courageously working vigorously for freedom and justice for Black people and, by extension all people.” Pretty words, but then the old Soviet Union’s constitution had a lot of pretty words, too, and that doesn’t seem to be what Black Lives Matter are doing. Calling someone a racist who actually is a racist won’t change his or her mind, however calling someone a racist who isn’t just leads to resentment. Do it often enough and you will create a backlash. Black Lives demonstrators chanting, “What do we want? Dead cops? When do we want them? Now,” isn’t exhibiting ‘lovingly’ behavior. Certainly hearing, “Pigs in a blanket! Fry ‘em like bacon,” isn’t likely to improve relations between police and the African American community. Yet this is exactly what the Black Lives demonstrators have done and are doing. In fact, the hateful rhetoric of Black Lives Matter is causing more racial tension, not less.

Five foreign nationals were arrested on the Ohio Turnpike in Braceville Township on Friday.

The Muslim men were traveling with a machine to duplicate credit cards.

Five foreign nationals were arrested on the Ohio Turnpike, WKBN in Youngstown reported.

The arrests happened Friday in Braceville Township in Trumbull County.

Rand Paul (R-KY) is running for president but he’s also still a United States Senator, which means he has some say in the way things operate in Washington, D.C. Today he announced that he will be using his position as the Senator from Kentucky to push for new legislation that would force the Obama administration to stop issuing visas to refugees from countries with a “high risk” of terrorism. This is very similar to legislation that Senator Paul tried to push through two years ago, but was shot down by Democrats and establishment Republicans. Senator Paul continues to fight to keep us safe from terrorism, even as other candidates push to make it easier for terrorists to sneak in by accepting thousands of unvetted Muslim refugees.

FREEDOM FORCE: Police Kill Mastermind Behind Paris Attacks in Raid

French officials have confirmed a police raid Wednesday resulted in the death of Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who is the suspected mastermind behind the Paris attacks last Friday.

After receiving intelligence on Abaaoud’s whereabouts, police conducted a seven-hour-long raid on an apartment building in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis in France. This suburb is home to a large immigrant population. In total, the SWAT teams fired 5,000 rounds, resulting in two dead, The Wall Street Journal reports. Helicopters flew overhead. Drones and robots conducted surveillance. Sharpshooters were posted on buildings.

Abaaoud, 28, was one of the two terrorists killed in the firefight. He is suspected of coordinating the Paris attacks, which led to 129 deaths.

THE VOICE OF THE PEOPLE

I have been listening to people with all kinds of interpretation of the election results. So, I thought that I would add my $.02 worth to the mix.

It was very clear to me that the people are tired of being ignored and they are going to do whatever is necessary to correct this situation. I base this on the fact that three Councilors were replaced. One of these Councilors had been on the Council for years and had a good voting record. The people did not care because they want to be heard and they want the Councilors to vote accordingly.

The remaining four Councilors should beware because if they do not straighten up they too will be gone next November. It is important to the people that when they speak Councilors are paying attention to the people.

The second indicator is the fact that only two out of seven Charter changes passed. This is a clear signal that the people are tired of the Councilors changing the Charter to suit their needs. For several years now, the Town Council has used the Charter changes to reduce or in some case eliminate the rights of the people. The result of this year’s election reflects that the people want to be heard and want the Town Council to honor their wishes.

I hope that the remaining Councilors take heed of the results of the election and work with the incoming Councilors to move this community forward by paying attention to the voice of the people.

Lisbon Maine's Proposed PAYT (pay as you throw) Trash Program. ---- by Joe Hill

My opinion on the proposed PAYT trash program.

Those advocating PAYT programs usually tout the unfairness of one group (usually seniors) having to pay for the waste of younger residents with families that generate much more waste. They use slogans like "why should you pay for your neighbors wasteful ways"and "its good for the environment".

Lets put the slogans aside and try to look at the truth about PAYT.

We will not save money. We will be trading the $10 dollars a year we now pay for a system that costs about $2 dollars for each trash bag sent to the transfer station. We will still have to pay for our transfer facilities. We may also have tohire additional personnel and trucks to collect the trash, or have an additional person at the transfer station to watch and make sure every person uses approved trash bags.

This cost of colored bags will increase every few years. This is just a given.

Most Communities that convert to PAYT have between a 5 and 20 percent reduction in trash (ALL Trash) going to the collection centers.

This begs the question where does the missing trash go?

1. Some of that reduction in waste ends up in illegal dumps or on the roadside. I know of two small illegal sites within walking distance of my home.

2. Sometimes people resort to burning the trash in 55 gallon drums, risking fires and adding to the air pollution

3. Towns like Lisbon with a public sewer system notice some of it flushed down toilets. This can clog pipes and cost the Town more money.

4. In more rural Towns excess trash is buried on private property.This can attract vermin and disease. This is not a joke it HAPPENS!!!

5. After Portland started their program they noticed some people hoarded the trash in their sheds until they were given away by the rotten smell. People will do strange things to save a buck.

I presently take two "Trader Joe;s" paper shopping bags and my recycling to the transfer station every two weeks. I recycle everything now. What will this program do to me and people like me? It will mandate I use plastic , environmentally toxic, bags to get rid of my trash. How is this good for the environment?

Taxes are supposed to pay for broad community needs; picking up the trash is one of those needs. Whats next: Only residents with children in school should pay for the schools?

Lets call this bad idea what it really is, " another finger-in-the-dike, short-term solution to the money problem".

If we really want to save money, we should reduce the bloated Police Department budget instead of going into business selling pretty little pink or green trash bags.
