Would You Guys Mind Helping the Elderly?

Dear Editor,

There should be an avenue to file your complaints about the town and its workers, without trying to talk with the Supervisors because they just don't care. Also, not get involved in any kind of retribution for speaking out. There are towns in Maine where everyone seems to go out of their way to be friendly. Freeport is one, because of the influence of LL Bean. Being friendly is engrained in their employees from top to bottom. Businesses in town know they have to follow their lead. Just about anyone working there tries to emulate them. Then there is Lisbon. Town workers, especially at the Transfer Station, need some etiquette training. Moreso, have some compassion for the elderly trying to drag their trash bag to the deposit area. They wait inside and watch, of course only one parking area inside is open. They stand there with their menacing looks, I don't know what there looking so surly for? They could help elderly or disabled people bring their trash across. Apparently "It's Not our Job" I'm sure they would say. There is "one" person who will help others but it ends there. Mr Ricker needs to get these guys to be more people friendly. If they hate their jobs, that's their fault. They have no right to be discourteous to anyone, they are paid to be helpful.

Sincerely,

Concerned Citizen
