Norma, you just don't get it.

"We're trying to make sound decisions for the town," she said. "I think we're all working really hard."

The recall of Norma Wells is not a decision that was made over one issue, as she would like the citizens of Lisbon to believe. This started in the 2005 budget season when the Budget Advisory Board was met with rolling eyes and condescending remarks. Norma have you forgotten Lori Pomerlow's presentation to council on July 15th 2008? Norma have you forgotten the meeting of July 1st 2008 when councilor Crafts was not given a chance to speak? What about not letting Mark Stevens give his presentation as the citizens requested?

Now you say, "We're trying to make sound decisions for the town", by hiring personnel that are making decisions that cost this town thousands of dollars unnecessarily. Such as the completely blown budget, tax bills sent twice, town officials and town paid lawyers chasing ex-employees at the cost of thousands for a mere $2,300 dollars of unemployment.

What about the Economic development employee, three days a week 60 thousand dollars a year?

Let’s not forget the refusal to deal with the conflict of interest with Mike Bowie. He not only voted on the complete budget, but voted for four more police cars.

Norma, when Mr. Comber addressed the July 1st council meeting and said he felt you failed the town as a councilor and asked for your resignation, you told him if you don’t like what I am doing vote me out. Norma, now we have the vote in sight, the council shortened voting times, created a special election, and have even tried to use intimidation tactics. This could be and should be brought to the voters during the national election and save the town the cost of this special election, but this must be one of your sound decisions. We will bring more of your sound decisions to the readers in the future.

On October 28th, with the help of the citizens of this community, we can make a step forward and remove the total disregard of its citizens and bring the true interest of the town to it's people.
(The people of this town deserve it)
